We walked up to my porch and he leaned against the banister as I unlocked the door. I unlocked it, but didn't open it. He raised his eyebrows at me and I looked down at his jacket I had wrapped it around me because I was wearing a white tank top that was now see through after the rain storm. The rain was still pounding down in the ground, leaving no survivors.

"I should probably be going before your step mom sees me here, right?" Shay asked, looking embarrassed. He was wearing a black shirt that was tight on him because of the rain and it showed off all of his muscles. I couldn't help but check him out. His stomach was so obviously defined and his hair stuck, wet, to his forehead.

"No wait, can you help me with this? I don't feel like going in there and entertaining tonight. You're so good at satisfying everyone," I pleaded.

Shay chuckled, "I don't know how Sandra would like that." Shay shrugged and grabbed my hand. He pulled me into him and hugged me, tight against his chest. I clung to him, accepting that I liked his closeness.

Suddenly the front door whirled open and I was blinded by the bright light. My step mom stood in the doorway with her hands on her hips. "I'm sorry, am I interrupting something?" She demanded and I saw her shoot Shay an evil glare.

"Hey Sandra, can Shay stay for dinner?" I asked slowly pulling away from Shay to show her that she didn't scare me.

"No." She snapped and pulled me into the house. She looked me over once she slammed the door in Shay's face. When she noticed that I was wearing Shay's jacket, she shook her head.

"Go upstairs and clean yourself up. Take that jacket off and brush your hair. They should be here soon. When they leave, we are going to talk about a curfew for you and Copper." She said crossing her arms. When I didn't move for a second, she pointed to the stairs.

I walked into the bathroom and peeled my wet clothes off. I took my time in the shower so that, if I was lucky, they would leave without even seeing me. When I finished, I wrapped my towel around me and kicked my clothes into the laundry pile. I scooped up Shay's jacket and tossed it into my room across the hall. I tightened the towel and walked across the hall.

I walked in to see an older version of my childhood friend, Caleb, lying on my bed.

"What the hell are you doing in here?" I screamed at him.

He sat up so fast that he almost fell off the bed. He threw his arms up in surrender. "Your mom said that I should come up and see your room! That's all, I swear!" He screamed and caught sight of the jacket at my feet. "That doesn't look like your jacket." He stated.

"Because it's not."

"Well whose is it?" He asked, looking me up and down. I was still in my towel and my hair was crazy.

"My boyfriend's, now can you leave so I can get dressed?" I asked, gesturing for him to leave.

"Boyfriend's? You mom didn't say that you had a boyfriend." Caleb said still not getting up off my bed. He was pretty good looking, but no one is hot after you've looked at Shay. Caleb had short brown hair with brown eyes that were so dark that they were almost black.

"Yeah, well, she doesn't really like him that much, but it's none of your business." I crossed my arms over my chest, making sure to hold my towel tightly, and glared at him. "Don't make me ask you to leave again."

He threw his hands up in surrender again and I couldn't help but smile. "Hey, I think that it's best if I don't make the hot girl in a towel angry." He winked at me as I blushed deeply and rolled my eyes. He gracefully walked past me and down the stairs before I shut the door and got dressed.
