Michael

I heard the door click, and the darkness was replaced by blinding sunlight.

Luke was buried in my shoulder, crying hysterically, and I looked up, keeping a hand on the back of his head.

There were two cops, and I smiled.

"Luke, Luke it's okay. We're safe..." I whispered, and he looked up, seeing the cop.

He jumped up, and hugged the old man. I smiled as the old man hugged him back. "You're safe, kid. All of these guys are going to prison for a pretty long time."

Seven hours worth of questioning later, me and Luke were safe to go.

"Where's your house? I bet your moms gonna be so happy to see you." I said, and he frowned. He shook his head, and looked down at the ground we were walking on.

"Im homeless." He whispered.

"You can stay with me in my apartment then." I said, and he smiled, holding my hand as I walked onto the street I live on.

I led him through the coded gates, and to my door.

I remember leaving it unlocked, so I just opened it.

"Feels good to be home." I whispered, and shut the door behind us.
