I finally caught up with season 11... And I have concluded that those writers are evil to the poor fanbase. Lol I've known that for awhile but man, this season is killing me.

Dean saw Cas's body twitching in response to the battle going on inside his head. Lucifer and Crowley were battling it out in there with Cas and Dean couldn't do a thing except look at his friend in pain.

He hated this. He couldn't help the angel, who had full-on rebelled against everyone for him, have those two dick-bags get permanently booted from his head.

Inside Cas's mind the battle went one between the devil, and the former king of hell. Cas watched his small television but with none of the carefree observation of before. Now he felt uneasy, even though he had given up hope of being released from his infinitely older brother, he had heard Dean. Had seen him for the first time in months.

It had been a quick moment, Cas had been so confused as to why he was in control of himself once more and all he could utter was,

"Dean..? What's going on?"

Before lucifer took control again. But that tiny glimpse of the hunter had shaken the angel to his core. No matter how still he sat, how entertaining the program on the screen, he couldn't shake away the need to see his hunter one again.

Dean had said his name. Not his shortened nickname like he did when thy talked and joked. No, this was his full name, "Castiel", and the shudders it had sent through Cas reminded him of why he had ever accepted lucifer to take him in the first place.

It was always to protect him. Always to prevent his most beloved human from feeling pain, but now Cas was the one who had caused Dean to look hopeless.

Suddenly the sound of Sam's voice echoed through Cas's head where the fight ceased as Crowley was exorcised from Cas. Lucifer took a short look at Cas and disappeared, as Cas assumed, to cause more trouble for the Winchesters. He didn't want this anymore. He wanted to stand by dean's side again, to feel his warm strength, to listen to his laugh and see his smile.

But for him, it was now too late.

Dean watched in horror as Amara vanished in a blinding light with Cas in tow. Screw what Sam said about Cas having a "strong vessel", that was not Cas's vessel. That was Cas now, he had lived as the blue-eyed, black-haired, and yes Dean would admit, sexy body as a human for months. That was define you Cas.

He swore as his angel was torn from his side once again and wished, desperately, for the angel to return.

Finally back at the bunker Dean made a quiet promise,

"Let's go bring that idiot home."

He said to Sam, who smiled and nodded. And this time, Dean would make sure Cas stayed right by his side. Right where he was supposed to be.
