I sigh as I sat on the stool by the bar stand at a local gay bar. Like always, CC stood me up AGAIN. I thought we were going to a party, but I guess CC has other plans. My phone buzzed. Rolling my eyes, knowing it was CC, I checked the text anyway:

Sorry man, Jake and I gone to the movies. I just really wanted to have a night out with him. I'll make it up to you. :)

The nerve of him to put a smiley face! When I get my hands on that boy..

Who was I kidding? That's the life of being single while your friends are in relationships. I just sat there. Minding my own business watching life pass me by. I finished of what was left of my second glass. I raise my empty glass to the bartender signaling him to give me a re-fill. What a way to spend my Friday night. The bartender brought me back another drink.

"Thanks. How much will it cost me?"

"No need. That guy over there took care of things." he points further down the bar stand revealing a man wearing a black leather jacket. He wore all black actually. From his hair to his feet. He wore shades that covered his eyes so I couldn't tell what he was looking at. He stood on his feet which shocked me. He was so freaking tall. My heart races as he makes his way over to me. He takes off his shades showing me his beautiful blue eyes. He saw my face and smirked.

"Hey beautiful, what are you doing here all by yourself?" his voice was deep and smooth. I was on the point tot passing out.

"Did you by me this drink?" I asked. He smiled and looked over at the untouched cup.

"Yes, that I did."

"You know you didn't have to do that."

"Why?" he asked leaning on the counter. "Are you with someone?" my cheeks went red. It's hard already not having anyone and having to watch people be all lovey dovey in my face.

"No, but still. I could've bought my own drinks."

"Now, no need to be feisty," the tall man said. "Just wanted to be generous...although, I do like that in a male." the man closes in on me. "I'm Andrew, but you can call me Andy. What's your name?"

"It's called go away." I turn my back on him.

"Ouch, harsh."

"Look I'm not in the mood right now ok?"

"What's the problem, beautiful?"

Silence.

"Someone stood you up? Shame. Your're so beautiful..especially in this light."

"You're so cheesy." I glared at him. The guy...or Andy chuckles. "What can I say," he places his hand on mine. "I'm interested. I wanna learn more about you so I'll do anything to win your heart." I felt uncomfortable as his eyes roam my face and body.

"Well keep dreaming." I pushed his hand off mine getting off the stool walking to the door.

"Wait," a hand stops me holding me back.

"What?"

"Just give me a chance. I'm not one of those guys looking for a 'good time' if you think that's what I'm about." I scoffed.

"What if I wasn't gay?" he shrugs.

"Then you wouldn't be in here..but you are." he smiled. I rolled my eyes. "Whatever.."

"You Never know...we could be something if I got the chance." he smirks.

"You're not."

"But you're too beautiful to be alone."

"It's something I'm use to." I looked away. Andy gently pulls my face to look at him. "Well I'm not. People must be asses to not make you theirs, beautiful."

"Ashley." I said

"What?"

"My names Ashley." he smiles.

"Nice to meet you Ashley." I didn't realize I was back up in a wall with Andy leaning over me with one arm resting by me. "But I like calling you beautiful. You wanna get outta here and have some fun?"

"I don't know.. Its late and-"

"I'll be there." he smiled down at me. "I wouldn't let a thing happen to you."

"I'm thankful for the compliments and the drink, but I have to get home."

"Please?" he takes my hand in his with his mouth hovering over it before kissing it. "Just one night."

Andy is kind of cool and sweet; but can I trust him?

"How do I know your are not just talking to me for my body?"

"No beautiful, I wasn't raised thay way." I sighed rolling my eyes.

"Any guy could say that to anyone to get what they want."

"But you'd have to come with me to trust me." he smiled. "C'mon beautiful, don't be like that." I gave Andy another look before letting out a big sigh. I'm probably gonna regret this.

I looked at our hands and then Andy. I walk over to the drink and chugged it down. "Ok. Show me a good time."

-

"I can't believe it's been 4 years since we met that night."

I sighed happily in my man's arms as we sat comfortably in bed in our warm bedroom. "Me neither, who knew that was going to happen?" Andy laughs.

"I did."

"Oh hush." I giggled. "But I am glad I decided to give you a chance."

"Yeah," Andy pulls me closer to his side. "Or else I would've never got the chance to make you mind forever." he said pulling me into a lovely tender kiss.
