Spoilers from: Protector 3

So I decided that I will be writing some alternate chapters, meaning chapters that I had planned but never wrote or I changed how it would happen in the story.

For those who read the Clearing Things Up and Random Facts part of My Protector: The Bad Boy, you know that when Charlie was ignoring Tony, I originally had planned that she was pregnant, but I decided not to do it. But I kind of wanted to write what things would be like if she was, so here's a little part.

ALTERNATE CHAPTER I: Tarlie

~Charlie: Age 22~ (I think cx)

I had to do it. I had to tell him. I couldn't avoid him any longer, but....I was afraid. I was afraid he wouldn't want it, that he would never want to speak to me again, which was hard enough as it was with us being co-workers, and in the same department.

I didn't even know how to tell him. Hey, Tony. Remember that time when we hooked up? Yeah, well, either the condom broke or it was expired and now I'm pregnant.

I sighed and rubbed my forehead as I waited for my doctor to call me. I didn't know what to do. As much as I wasn't sure about raising this baby, I definitely wasn't going to abort it. That was the only thing I didn't want.

When my doctor, Dr. Shay, called me in her office, I took a deep breath before getting up from my chair and following her. She gestured for me to sit down and I did as she closed the door. "So, have you made your decision?" she asked.

"Almost," I said. "I ruled out abortion, but I still don't know if I should raise it or put it up for adoption."

"It's okay, you still have time to decide," she said. "Now that abortion is ruled out, you don't have to decide before the time limit of when you can get an abortion. Now, excuse me for asking, but you never brought up the father of your baby. Why is that?"

I looked down. "He doesn't know. He's my co-worker and I don't know how to tell him."

"I see," she said. "Well, I think you should tell him soon. The baby is his as well, so you're going to have to talk to him to see what he wants."

"I know," I said. I knew I had to tell Tony. I just didn't know how.

"But I don't want to pressure you into doing so, so take your time," she said. "Now, let's get started with the check up."

When the check up was over, I decided one thing. I was going to tell him today. I had to. The more I held it off, the higher chance I was going to just forget it and not tell him.

I got into my car and headed over to his apartment. When I got there, I knocked on the door. It wasn't long before I heard the door unlocked, then I came face to face with Tony. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion when we saw me and my face grew red when I realized that he wasn't wearing a shirt.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

"Uh, I...." I snapped out of it and looked at his face so I wouldn't be as distracted, though it was hard enough considering he was a very attractive human being. "Can we talk?"

"Uh, sure," he said, opening the door wider for me to come in. I stepped inside and he closed the door behind me. "I'll just out on a shirt."

       Dammit.

He went to his bedroom, so I walked to the living room and sat on the couch. He walked back in, pulling his shirt over his head. "Do you want some coffee?" he asked.

"No thanks," I said in a soft voice.

       "Water?"

       "Yeah, sure."

Tony went to the kitchen and came back with a glass of iced-cold water. He handed it to me and I thanked him before taking a sip as he sat down. "So, what do you want to talk about?"

"Um...." I still had no idea how to tell him. "What happened. A few weeks ago."

       "Oh," Tony said. "That."

       "Yeah."

       "What....what about it?" he asked.

       "I don't know...."

"You don't know?" he asked. "Really? How about why you decided to ignore me after we slept together? I asked if you wanted it, Charlie. I made sure it was what we both wanted, but you left me after and you refused to talk to me. So why? Did you regret it?"

       "No...."

       "Did you not like it?"

       "No...."

"Then what is it?" Tony asked.

"I...." I stopped myself, not even meaning to. "I can't tell you."

"You can't?" he repeated. "Then why are you here? Why did you ask if we could talk about it if you won't tell me why you ignored me?"

       "Because I don't know how you'll react," I said.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

I took a deep breath before angling myself to face him. "I didn't think it was possible. For us to do what we did and get an outcome, especially because we used protection."

       "What outcome?" he asked.

"I missed my previous period," I said. "So I took a pregnancy test. And it came back positive."

Tony was quiet, but he looked really shocked. "Y-you're....What?"

"I'm pregnant, Tony," I said. "And you're the father."

Tony released a long breath, turning his head away from me. I knew he needed time to process it. I still needed time.

After what felt like hours, Tony looked at me again. "So, what are you going to do with it?" he asked.

I shrugged. "I don't know yet. I ruled out abortion, but I still don't know if adoption or raising it is what's best. That's why I came to you. I can't make a decision without you, Tony. It's yours. It's ours."

Tony leaned back in the couch and rubbed his forehead, keeping his eyes closed. I knew he didn't want it....

I turned away from him, taking a long sip out of my water, waiting for him to say the words I was going to dread.

       "Can we raise it?"

I looked at him. I did not expect that. "You...you want to raise it?"

Tony shook his head. "No, I want us to raise it. Charlie, you know I like you. No, scratch that. I love you, Charlie. You know I do, even if we've never been official. This baby is ours and I want us to raise it together. Not you one night and me another night. Together."

He was right. I knew he loved me. And for the longest time, I tried to hide the feelings of me loving him because of what happened with my last relationship, but I knew he would treat me right. I trusted him with all my heart.

       "Okay," I said. "Together."

So cute. cx I love Tarlie and I can't wait to write the Tarlie book, aka Protector 3.5. That will be in Charlie's point of view and it will start before she even meets Tony, but she will meet him in the book, of course, otherwise it wouldn't be a Tarlie book. cx

There will be more alternate chapters, like the first way I planned Grayson finding out that Poppy was pregnant, or the little speech Grayson gives Poppy when at first the baby was going to go through adoption.
