Note: I'm just rewriting this part of how Jerome and Nolan get back together, because I thought of a funny scene (at least it's funny in my head lol) for afterwards.

I need to stop with the alternate chapters but they're so fuuuuuuun.

ALTERNATE CHAPTER 6: The True One Part II

~Jerome: Age 19~

"Are you just going to ignore me the whole time?" I asked Brandon while we were in our hotel room after today's part of the convention. It definitely didn't help that he didn't talk to me the whole time we were there unless we were in a panel together.

He apparently didn't want our fans to think anything was wrong, but he was the one that caused all this strain by overreacting.

"That's the plan, yes," Brandon said. "You can sleep on the couch, by the way."

"We don't have a couch in the hotel room," I said.

"Then you can sleep on the floor," Brandon said.

"You unbelievable," I said. "I seriously can't believe how much you're overreacting."

"Overreacting?" Brandon asked. "So you're telling me you'd be completely fine with me going to go give my ex-boyfriend a ride?"

"Depending on the situation," I said. "If you were the last person that could do so, then yes, I'd be fine with it. I was the last person that could do it, and I wasn't going to let Nolan just stay at his school when he didn't want to be there."

"Why do you care?" Brandon asked. "He's your ex."

"You're right, good call," I said. "Of course I know he's my ex, and it's not easy to just immediately stop caring about something. I know what Nolan has been through and it would be completely heartless of me to ignore that just because we broke up."

"That still doesn't mean you should have agreed to giving him a ride," Brandon said.

"Are you just going to be saying that the whole time?" I asked. "I told you exactly where I was going because I had nothing to hide. I just don't get why you are still so mad over it."

"Because he's your ex," Brandon said. "Anybody wouldn't want their boyfriend going anywhere near their ex, especially when something could have happened and you're not telling me about it."

"Are you serious right now?" I asked. "You think something happened between me and Nolan?"

       "It's highly possible," Brandon said.

"Wow," I said. "I can't believe you don't even trust me right now. I seriously could have lied when you asked me who called. I could have said it was Mae and she needed my help with something, but I didn't because I trust you and I'm honest with you. But here you are, thinking I would stoop so low and cheat on you with someone I haven't talked to in months."

"Exactly," Brandon said. "You haven't talked to him in months, so why would he call you out of the blue."

"It doesn't matter why he called me out of the blue if all he did was ask for a ride home," I said. "He didn't try anything and if he did, I would have pushed him away because I have a boyfriend and I would never cheat on anyone."

"But would you actually push him away?" Brandon asked. "Face it, Jerome. You would do anything to get back together with him."

I couldn't believe I was hearing this right now. Brandon had never acted this way before.
