Spoilers from: Ryder the Love Expert
Okay, someone seriously stop me from writing alternate chapters about how Jerome and Nolan get together. (it doesn't help with the group chat encouraging me smh)(jk I probably would have written it without their encouragement anyway hahaha)
Instead of this being split into different parts (to save parts), it's going to all be written here with a ~~ separating different scenes. (so it will probably be long ahahaha)(okay im coming back here to say there will be more parts lol)(it's getting late)
I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE IF THE THE SECOND SCENE IS CRINGE WORTHY. I'm rust in writing... those kind of scenes.
ALTERNATE CHAPTER 7: Spring Break Romance Part 1
~Nolan: Age 14~
I found it funny how whenever Mom and Dad had to go out somewhere, Ryder had to 'babysit' us. I understood him babysitting Tulip because she was only six, but come on. Alan, Orchid, and I were fourteen. We weren't that hopeless.
Maybe they were, but I wasn't.
None of us were allowed to be in our room when Ryder was babysitting, only because he couldn't go in his so he could keep an eye on us, and it wouldn't be fair if we could be in ours. Even though all I wanted to do was sleep.
Ryder was sitting at the kitchen table on his laptop while Alan, Orchid, and I were trying to find something to eat because Ryder refused to cook for us. If he actually had to 'babysit' us, then I didn't see why he couldn't cook dinner for us.
"Ryder, please make us dinner," Orchid said. "Alan will probably burn down the house trying to cook something."
"It's true, I probably will," Alan said.
"Too bad," Ryder said. "I'm busy, and you're fourteen. You're not helpless, so cook yourself."
Orchid huffed and looked at Ryder's laptop screen. "Facebook? You're busy on Facebook?"
"Yes. I'd rather be busy doing anything else than cooking for you lazy people."
"It's not a matter of being lazy. It's a matter of not wanting to burn down the house."
"Then make something simple like a sandwich."
"Do you not know Alan?" I asked. "He can burn down the house making a sandwich."
"You know, I normally would feel insulted everyone is teaming up on me, but you're right," Alan said.
Ryder just ignored us, so Orchid decided to peer over Ryder's shoulder to see what he was doing on Facebook. "Uh, who's that and why is he in a picture with Mae?" she asked, so Alan and I got closer to see.
"Oh, that's her best friend, Jerome," Ryder said.
"Her best friend is a guy?" Orchid asked. "That's unacceptable. Are you jealous?"
"What?" Ryder asked. "No. They're just friends."
"He seems sketchy. Go to his profile."
"I'm not--"
"Do it, Ryder."
Ryder sighed and went to Jerome's profile, and then on his profile picture to enlarge it after Orchid told him to.
"Wow," I said. "How are you not jealous? That guy's hot."
I didn't even realize what I said until all three of them looked at me with confused looks. "What?" Alan asked.
