So, I'm in the mood for heartbreak, so be prepared for this chapter. But just to ease you all a tiny bit, there will be no deaths. Just, well... Read to find out. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ) And this is coming in three parts, and I'll see if I can get all of them up before I go to bed, which will most likely happen since it's only 6pm.
ALTERNATE CHAPTER 6: The True One Part I
~Jerome: Age 19~
VidGalore Convention was one of the events I absolutely loved attending every year. I loved meeting so many of my fans, as well as other vloggers. It was one of the greatest things ever and I was so excited to go.
And then I found out one of the panels I was signed up for.
The couple's contest. Of course, they wanted me to defend my crown, but I was going to be doing so with someone different this time. I tried not dwelling in the past, but I couldn't help it. Last time I won, I was dating Nolan and we didn't get a single question wrong.
I wasn't really defending my crown if I wasn't doing it with him this time.
Great, now I was probably going to be thinking about my ex-boyfriend the whole time.
The worst part was if I didn't win, people were going to use it was an excuse as to why I shouldn't be with my current boyfriend. While most of my fans supported my new relationship saying that as long as I was happy they were happy, there were some fans that would always bring up Nolan every chance they got.
I didn't blame them. I mean, it got annoying because I was trying to move on, but they had watched that relationship for two years and even looked up to it. It was hard to let go of.
The vloggers participating in the couple's contest had to be in the room it was taking in place twenty minutes before the doors opened for the audience to come in. As soon as Brandon and I got there, Dirk couldn't help but walk over to us. "So, Jerome, ready to lose your crown this year? Though, you won't really be gaining it since you have a different boyfriend."
"So, Dirk, are you ready to finally get over me?" I asked. "Though, you probably won't since you seem like you're really obsessed with everything I do."
Dirk glared at me. "I'm not."
"It seems like it," I said. "You should really consider focusing on yourself and your own relationship instead of focusing on every single thing I do."
Dirk just shrugged before walking back to the seats he and Cheryl were sitting at.
"I hate him," I said.
"Don't let him get to you," Brandon said.
"I still hate him," I said. "And I don't really let him get to me. He's just annoying and won't ever leave me alone. He's going to make things really hard for me if we don't win."
"Don't worry, there's no way we'll lose," Brandon said.
We lost.
And by lost, I meant we came in dead last. It didn't help that we didn't even get the first question right, which was Brandon being asked which country I was born in.
He didn't know that I wasn't actually born in Canada.
Dirk and Cheryl won, and they definitely weren't going to let it go. The first thing he did when they were announced the winners was flash a smirk at me.
