His arm wound tightly around my waist tugging my small cold form into his warm broad chest, my back pressed tightly against his front, his heat seeping through my clothes into me pleasantly, and yet my skin was covered in chills.

"Running away were we love?" Alaricus asked, his voice deep and husky, completely calm but the lethal undertone had me trembling in my boots, as he slowly trails his nose over the slight amount of skin exposed on my throat making me tense. His hand slowly came up, the warm rough fingers gently brushing away my dark hair from my throat. He plants his warm lips onto my throat pressing kisses on my bare soft skin with his soft plush lips.

His hand wrapped around my hip, using that to turn me towards him, and I stare at his shoes, as he gazes at me intensely, pressuring me solely with his eyes to meet his deadly gaze, to let him see all of me, to bare myself to him the way his eyes often bared him to me.

"Did you think you could get away so easily?" He asks me softly, his voice calm, yet dangerous, his fingers come under my chin softly trying to get me to meet his gaze, a gasp sounds from within me as I do. His honey eyes blazed a livid golden as he looked down at me, with something so primal it sent chills down my spine, I let out a soft breath from my parted lips, and his hungry wild eyes followed its trail, staring intently at my mouth, red with cold, as it stood out against my icy flushed pale skin.

"I-I wasn't trying to get away." I tell him quietly.

"Then why do you carry food with you?" He asks, and I frown at him, trying to form a coherent thought despite his proximity, but he interrupts me before I can.

"Why on earth would you be out here on a cold night, after an argument." He says, leaning down so that he looked me in the eyes, his hand slowly caressing my side, as I stared at him wide eyed, afraid to speak.

"Why would you tell me about all the things you miss, with that delicious passionate look in your eyes if you weren't going to act on it?" He asks stepping even closer to me.

"It hurt what you said angel, but that look in your eyes drives me crazy, the passion that ignites within you, it burns within those sweet chocolate orbs, reddens those soft cheeks and tints that sweet little mouth cherry. Now tell me love where were you going?" He asks his own honey eyes scorching as he speaks of me making me stumble backwards but his arm wounds around my waist tugging me into his chest. His fiery gaze not moving from me as his hand moves to rest on my cloaked waist. His voice so unbearably cold, it makes me gulp the action not going unnoticed by Alaricus as his eyes stare at my pale exposed throat following the movement with his eyes. My chest constricts as I struggle to find words to calm his burning, but nothing comes to mind.

But as we stay silent, simply gazing at each other the wild fire in his eyes begins to dim, until it is completely diminished, and he sighs defeatedly.

"I don't blame you my love, it is my fault, if anything I expected this to happen long before, for how long could an angel stay within the hold of a monster without attempting to free herself." He said, his warm breath hitting my cold face, as he leaned close to me, his arm once again wounding it's way around my waist pressing me into him, a complete contradiction to his sweet words.

"But I wasn-" I start but he interrupts me again, and I begin to get frustrated.

"But this was careless, these forests aren't safe, I would expect better from you, you're intelligent and yet here you are with only enough food to last you a day, in the midst of dangerous woods wearing clothes that couldn't keep you warm for even one night." He tells me sternly and I nearly growl at him, did he not understand I wasn't trying to escape?
