If you didn't understand the last chapter . Don't read this one. You'll be very confused.

Here's something to hold you over until next Thursday

"I'm Roselyn Merchant." I say as I cover my face with shame.

I haven't said that...in years. Feeling how my body had absorbed my old identity so instantly.

I hated it.

Raphael's face looked torn and twisted.

"How?" He says still keeping the same voice.

I knew he hated me- I just knew it.

"That's why I didn't want Emily seeing me. She recognized me and that's probably why she brought me on stage. That's why my parents were in town. So Emily could go visit them for the ball." I explain.

I wasn't giving decent information.

I was just giving the first things that came to my mind.

"Emily's not arrested." He seemed so speechless but we both knew the conversation we were avoiding.

"She spent her time in jail. She paid off everything else. Plus Emily was the most innocent out of all of us. That's probably why you liked her so much when we were kids." I say slowly.

He swallows had and I see his eyes are red. "You were the worst of all. Why did...why did you do those things to me?" He asked m, his bottom lip quivering.

Oh fuck. Fuck. Fuck. I sniffle hard, wiping the corners of my eyes and I look down at my hair that is scattered across the floor.

"I didn't want to do those things. I really didn't. My parents made us. We were supposed to be murderers and thieves. They raised us that way. I didn't remember your name because...I'm so equipped to my new mentality- I forget some of my past. My real life." I whisper, why did I want him to understand?

Why?

I wanted him to stay.

That was a whole untouchable subject.

"You dyed your hair brown. You grew it out. You changed your name. And I knew you the whole time." He says with a laugh.

But it's not a humorous laugh. It's an unbelievable laugh.

"You just didn't remember. Your mind turned off that part of your life too." I whisper and he shakes his head.

"It's been you. I-I honestly don't know what to say." He says and looks behind him.

"Raphael, I wanted to tell you but I didn't recognize you either until you mentioned the Merchant family. I had no idea," I say, rushing my words quickly.

Now I was scared to lose him.

"I need time to sort things out. To think." He says and he turns towards the door.

"Wait Raphael. You don't- You don't hate me...right?" I ask.

He pauses by the door, keeping his back towards me.

"No. I don't hate you." He whispers and closes the door behind him.

I lay there, my mouth parted as I look down at the pile of my hair.

Now I surely looked like Roselyn.

For what feels like an hour, I sit there alone.

My mind blank.

Until Damon walks in and squints at me. "What the hell happened? And don't you dare shrug because you're sitting in a pile of your hair." He says pointing a finger at me.

"I told him." I croak.

My voice doesn't even sound like me.

"Everything?" He whispers and kneels down by me.

"I told him who I was but I didn't tell him why." I explain.

"Is that it?" He asks and I exhale, "He didn't let me really say anything else. The situation that happened when we were kids..." My voice trails off and he searches my eyes, "What did happen between you guys when you were younger?"

I never told anybody and it wasn't even directly me who did anything.

It was my brothers and my sisters and I just so happened to include some of my effort as well.

"Nothing." I say and shake my head.

"Well, I think I should get you a wig...you look so much like- you now." He says and I nod, feeling my hair that came up to my ear.

I was beginning to feel like Roselyn again.

"Preferably brown." I request and he smiles.

"Yes ma'am."

I know Raphael had so many questions- so many I couldn't answer because he didn't allow me...but now...I feared for the absolute worst.

Cameron's POV

I paced the room quickly, running my hand through my hair.

"He said he'd be here." I groan and look over at Blaine who's sitting on the couch with a cigarette in his mouth.

"You need to get your wife. She keeps blowing up my phone." He says and I roll my eyes.

"So is this guy going to be here or not?" Mr. Merchant asks and I nod.

"So what did he say?" Mr. Merchant asks me.

I was irritated and he kept asking me questions all day.

I just needed to see Rose.

I haven't seen her since we were kids.

I was craving her.

"He wants the same thing we want. It's all about Rose." I explain and there's a knock on the door.

"I don't care if we kill Roselyn at this point. I'm tired of her getting in the way." Mr. Merchant growls.

I walk towards the door and open it then smile,

"Just the man I wanted to see. It was nice of you to join us Damon."
