I Need You

Chapter 23:

Elizabeth

"Really? This was your emergency you were talking about?" I asked Kalin.

"Well yeah but I'm not only buying shoes for myself. I'm buying some matching ones for my son."

"Kalin, he won't need shoes for a while." I said.

"I know but still." I shook my head knowing he had his mind set to buy them.

"You want any?" He asked. I nodded my head no and sat down on the bench thingy.

I watched him leave to pay for the shoes and a few minutes later he came back.

"Let's go." He grabbed my hand and helped me up.

We walked around the mall and bought a few more things that we needed.

"It's time." I said.

"For food?" He asked.

"Yep." I replied popping the p.

"Where to?" I looked around and shrugged my shoulders.

"Chipotle." He nodded his head and we walked over to order.

We grabbed our food and began eating.

"Are you ready for the baby?" He asked.

"Yep. I'm ready for my little baby." I smiled.

"Daddy's boy."

"Wait what? No he's going to be a mommas boy." I argued.

"Yeah right." He said. I rolled my eyes and threw my trash away.

"Kalin!" I yelled.

"Yes?"

"It's time." I groaned.

"What do you mean it's time? We just had food?" He asked.

"No Kalin. It's really time." I was not expecting him to do what he did.
