"Are you sure you have everything?" My dad asks for the 1000th time
"Yes dad." I laugh as I grab my black and white polka dot suitcase
"Don't forget to give Ryder a firm punch in the gut for racking up my credit card bill."
"Yes dad. I have to go though, I'll miss my flight and Jackson will kill me." I laugh hugging him tightly
It's the end of August; and my life hasn't changed much. I graduated high school, repaired my relationship with Jackson, got a new car, applied for a few colleges, traveled Europe and got a dog. His name is Finn, he's a border collie and he's the cutest little fluffy ball of love.
Lydia and Tyler got engaged and she's asked me to be her maid of honor. They recently moved to Seattle and so far they are loving it. She's taken a position as a sports physiotherapist and Tyler last I heard is planning to open his own restaurant. Ryder and Vickey broke up but are still really good friends thank god.
Hunter and Michelle are still together though I'm not too sure for how long, they're really trying to make it work. I hope for them they do work it out.
"Take care of my Finny baby." Suddenly feeling sad about leaving my four legged baby
"I love you honey." Dad says kissing the top of my head "You know it will."
I may be almost 20, but I'll always be a daddies girl.
"I love you too dad. Tell Spence I said bye!"
My dad finally found an awesome woman, she was actually his personal assistant. Dads opened his own law firm and I'm so proud. Spence is age appropriate and honestly like the mom I've never had. She was never able to have kids of her own, so I think she is enjoying being a mother just as much as I've loved having her as one. Steph never spoke to us again and last I heard she, Julian, his brother Gerard and his dad moved to Ohio. I really don't care though, I've gotten over the whole other family thing they deserve eachother, they're all fucked. My body has healed completely from the hit and run except for scars and the ghost pains that sometimes keep me awake at night.
The nightmares haven't stopped though, maybe one day they will.
As I board the plane a feeling of calmness overcomes me. Taking a deep breath I settle into my seat with an ungraceful thud. I can almost sense the scowl on the lady behind me's face. 2 hours and I'll see Jackson again, I've missed him so much. I think I'll just rest my eyes...
"Ma'm" a soft voice says waking me "ma'm I need you to put your seat in the full upright and locked position we're landing."
"Oh sorry.." I mumble putting my seat up "Shit"
Guess all those sleepless night really caught up with me... Again.
Grabbing my luggage I'm expecting to have one of those fairytale movie moments when you run and jump into your boyfriends arms... That didn't happen. Instead I get a well dressed man holding a sign with my name.
"Hi I'm Danielle." I say cheerfully as the man takes my bag
"Right this way ma'm. Oh and these are for you." He says pulling out a bouquet of sunflowers, tulips and daisies
"Oh how thoughtful of you!" I joke sliding into the back of the sleek Mercedes
"Oh sorry ma'm. Those are from Ryder and Jackson." He says awkwardly
"I was just teasing.." I trail off laughing awkwardly
"Sorry ma'm, my clients don't usually even speak to me."
After a 45 minute drive I feel like I know this man, his name is Fredrick, he has 4 kids all sons and has 3 other jobs trying to pay for his oldest sons way through their colleges.
"Thank you Fred. I sincerely hope your day gets better.." I say grabbing my suitcase from him before handing him an extra 500$ that I had in my wallet for incidentals this trip, because Jackson and Ryder are going to pay... Im telling ya
"Oh no need ma'm, Ryder has pre paid." He says with a bright smile
"It's for you, a tip."
The smile the spreads across his face makes me smile, he looks so grateful and appreciative, I see the tears welling in his eyes
"Ahh come here." I say giving him a hug
"Thank you ma'm." He says before getting back in his car
I turn to see the infamous house, the house that these two constantly send me pictures of referring to it as "the sickest half bachelor pad ever bro"
I walk to the door before swinging it open
"IM HEEEEEERE!" I sing
A blonde girl appears in front of me in just a white string bikini
"Can I help you." She says looking me up and down, the look of disgust evident on her stupid face
"I'm looking for Ryder and Jackson?" I stare at her with a puzzled look
"They're busy. And you're not their type. Bye." She says is a bitchy tone, trying to shut the door on me
I burst out laughing, god it's like highschool Allie all over again.
"I certainly hope I'm not Ryder's type. Excuse me." I say walking straight through her and shuddering a bit at the thought of being Ryder's type
I hear the obnoxious voice of my brother before anything;
"YOU PUSSY! FINISH IT!"
And girls screaming and laughing... Hmm..
"Oh my gosh Jaxy!" I hear a girl laughing
I open the back door to see them drinking and playing beer pong with a bunch of half naked girls and equally naked guys. Then I spot my God of a boyfriend, he looks up and meets my gaze.
"BABE!" He slurs before running over to me picking me up and giving me a giant kiss
I hear a scoff behind me and turn to see fake tits behind me. So I do what any rational girl would do... I grab Jackson again and make out furiously with him... I didn't hate it at all either.
"Alright lovers. Let me see my baby sister!" Ryder says wrapping his arms around me and squeezing the life out of me
"My boys!" I say laughing "ugh I missed you two so much!"
I don't miss the glares I'm receiving from half the girls at the party, but then I spot a familiar raven haired beauty.
"LYDIA!" I screech
"Danielle! I'm so happy you're here!" She yells before turning to Tyler and smiling "I was so worried you were going to get here before us!"
They look at each other, Lydia raising her eyebrows, followed by Tyler's sweet smile and a nod of approval
"What? Why do you two look like you have something to tell me?"
A minute goes passed as they just laugh and look at me
"I'm having a baby!" Lydia says hugging me
A baby... A little tiny human...
