pick a petal

drop it in

forming pictures in a forgotten pond

time comes to a stop again

do you have the eyes of

brighter blues,

radiant hues

to see the way my heart leaps inside

this scarred chest

It was broken once by

another with dull eyes

do you even want to know why

you're the first to revive

this old heart from the pain inside

could you give it all up

for this silly being

could you let go of those dreams

or would you leave me

can you even see me
