The Chronicles of Odysseus

---

Red as temperamental heated yelling

Scorching red words, scalding

Humanity never altering

Pride never falling

Heart beating, head reeling

-

Cold as the waters that brush his skin

as his head fills with memories of his kin.

Frozen as the frost that clings to the oars

as they drift further from the shore.

-

Hot as the fire that warms the stake

At the place in which the splinters break.

Warm as the blood that pours free and red from an eye

as nohbody moves on and no one wonders why.

-

Strong as Poseidon who crashes against the waves

and the sea braves.

Powerful as Zeus who's high pedestal keeps our story worth while

as with Calypso's heart, our adventurer stays a while.

-

Cunning as our hero who out-smarts them all, one by one.

Stupid as our hero who is delayed again from seeing his only son.
