Anxious Heart

I feel the aching in my chest
And the ocean in my throat
The buzzing in my head
And the murmurs in my mouth

Swaying from the core.
The fire sets in
And it isn't the same anymore

Pain constricts
Then waves of worry emerge to make the final blow.
Blood races,
But the conscience slows

The weight of a thousand planets pull down on my heart
And it fights to get away
Back and forth, back and forth;
Neither side giving way
Tug of war between the mind and the thought

Something isn't right
But there's nothing you can do.
"Just breathe"
1, 3, 2

Pain, pain, pain
Heart beating out of my chest
Rain, rain, rain
Nothing is the same
