Staring into Kou's face... I don't dare close my eyes.
The look on his face begins to turn sad.
"No... I won't do it like this..."
He looks up, then clenching his fist and looking away.

What does he mean? Do what?

"I won't force this on you."
Kou continues.
"Force? I... don't really think you were..."
I replied.
He snaps his head back to face me.
"You don't?"

"No not at all Kou... I mean I have to admit it was unexpected, but I don't really think... uh..."

"Oh, I see. Hehe, well, um... I'll get going. See you later, Setsuna!"

"Kou! Wait!"
He doesn't stop and I'm left alone in the dark...

I've managed to make my way back to my room.
I sigh, closing the door behind me, then sliding down it.
Now on the floor, I put my hand on my forehead.

He... almost kissed me...
Kou? But why?

Just as my eyes start to tear, I hear a voice from the center of the dark room.
"Goddess. What's wrong my goddess?"
I begin to speak with a stutter.
"W-w-who's there!?"
"It's me, my goddess, Haruki,
Haruki Kaito."
the voice replies.
"Should I... uh recognize that name?"
I ask the mysterious male voice.
"No, though we've met before, I did not tell you my name."
Haruki says.
I begin to hear footsteps walking past me and to the wall. The lights are flipped on.
"It's... it's YOU!"
I yell in realization.

The guy with the cherry red hair!

"So? I take it that you recognize me now?"
Haruki says while smirking.

Wow he's so cool!
And charming!
Wait, what am I thinking!?

"Why is it that you're here, Haruki?"
I ask
"Well, you are the last goddess. Not only am I here to protect you, but also to carry on the goddess line."
Haruki says nonchalantly.
"Carry... on?"
I mutter.

Wait! He couldn't mean!

"Yes, carry on, you should know very well what that means for you and I."
Haruki states looking at my hand still on the wall.
I rise to only look up and see that his face is inches away from mine.
Haruki doesn't really seem to care though.
"What do you plan on doing to me exactly?"
I timidly ask.
"Do? You make it sound so villainous. I'm not forcing it on you. I have confidence that you'll come to fall for me."
He says with a blank stare.

Confidence!? Why is he so confident?
Sure he's cool but I mean... do I really see myself with him like that?

"Um... Haruki maybe you should um... leave. I'm sorry, but this is a lot to take in."
"I understand, my goddess. As you wish."
He says, backing away.
He then fades into the same white smoke as before.

Hmm... what a strange encounter.

Just then Hiroto busts into the room slamming the door open.
"WHERE IS HARUKI!?"
"I... who?"
I say, trying to act normal.
"I know you know who I mean! I could sense his magical energy from the other side of the mansion!"
He pants his words.
"I-I don't know..."
I keep up my lie.
"Listen, little goddess! Haruki Kaito is a traitor known to all gods as an enemy, The Scarlet Enemy! He is not to be trusted!"

...if anyone's not to be trusted it's this blond perv right here...

"But... enemy? Sorry Hiroto, but I don't buy that for a second!"
I can't keep up with this lie, especially when Haruki has been more kind to me than Hiroto.
I can't just not defend him when all Hiroto is doing is telling lies about someone who doesn't deserve it.
"You're so naive."
With that, Hiroto leaves the room, closing the door behind him.
"I don't understand anymore! Who's side am I supposed to take when I don't really know anyone and they all tell me the other is terrible?"
I yell, listening to the sound of my irratiated voice bounce off the walls.
I then sigh, walking closer to my bed where I then fall asleep.

Huh? Wait why do I feel so cold and it's... windy... in my room?

I slowly open my eyes, but the space I'm in isn't my room.
I now find myself in a car in the passenger seat.
The window is down, and wind blows my hair in my face.
I look around, and find the driver to be none other than...
"Haruki!?"
I scream in shock.

Erm... oops that was a little uncalled for...

"Yes, my goddess, it is me. I understand this is a strange situation to be in but we have much to discuss."
Haruki says in a serious tone.

It must be important, that look just send shivers down my spine.
He's scary now that I think about it.

"So um, where are we really going?"
I politely ask Haruki.
"To the BBQ in the magazine at your feet."
He answers.
I lean over and pick up the magazine.

Your kidding right!?
Does he... ?

"Haruki? You do realize that the BBQ is in the opposite direction... right?"

"Hmmm... I see."
He replies.

That's it!?
He has... no sense of direction...

He turns the car around and starts driving the other way.

He'd gone the wrong way about 6 more times in between originally realizing it and actually arriving.

This is kind of rediculous.

I think to myself while smacking my palm onto my forehead.
We sit at a table and he looks at me sternly.
"Goddess... about the important discussion."
