Part.17 Home Again

"Um, what makes you think I'm not coming with you?"
He says reaching back to grab my ankle.
"Pardon!?"
I ask.
He let's go.
"I'm not letting you go somewhere without me. Therfore, I'll be going with you."
He says.
"You mean that?"
I ask, a little more hopeful than before.
"Yes. By the way, think before standing over me in a skirt next time."
He says looking away.
"W-What!? You didn't see did you?"
I say, clutching my skirt.
"Don't worry, I wasn't looking. Come on, let's go."
Haruki says.
He gets up and takes my hand only to then lead me back to the mansion.

"Kou, you got everything?"
I ask.
"Yeah."
He nods.
"Wait, Master! We want to come!"
Yukiko and Arina call out to me.
"Uh, I don't really think there is anywhere for you to stay."
I say looking at them apologetically.
Kou begins to speak.
"There is a spare bedroom in the living area of the cafe. They could share."
Kou says.

You did not just suggest they share.

They look at each other frown.
Then speak together.
"Fine."
"Wow, really!?"
I say.

They actually agreed to live together.
Wow, Kou.

Hiroto walks in.
"What about me?"
Hiroto glances at Kou. The expression on his face seems to be saying if Kou said no, he'll be murdered.
"You can... Stay with me...?"
"Cool."
Hiroto says, walking over to him.
"So, looks like you'll all be living at the cafe on the second floor. Two guys in one room. Two girls in the other."
I say.
"Yep."
Kou responds with a sigh.

Wow, that's a lot of people under one roof.

"Great, looks like I'll be staying with Setsuna!"
Haruki says putting one arm around my shoulder.
"What!?"
Kou says a little alarmed.
"Haruki!? What!? Why?"
I shout.
"Do you have a problem with that, Setsuna?"
Haruki looks over to me.
"Well... No..."

Guess he's staying with me then...

"Alright. So, let's go over our regular schedule. In the mornings Kou and I open.
Then at 7ish, someone takes over so we can go to school. When we get back, we work 'till 5ish then I leave and Kou keeps it open til 7."
I say.
Everyone nods.
"Alright, let's go."
Hiroto says with a clap. We head out the door.
"Oh wait, I forgot something. I'll be back."
I say, heading back in.
I head to the room I stayed in.
Sighing, I stare out the window.
Suddenly, someone grabs me from behind.
"Oh goddess, you didn't think you'd gotten rid of me did you? Don't worry, I'll be back."
Then I'm released.
I turn around to see them but no one is in the room with me.

That sounded like Guardian.
I need to go.

I dart out of the room run down the stairs and bolt to the front door.
"Did you get what you needed?"
Haruki asks.
I look up at him.
"Yeah..."
I reply.
He gives me a weird look.
We walk to meet up with the others.

After walking past the cafe, we depart.
I grab Haruki's hand.
"Come on! We need to get home fast. I need to do laundry."
I run with him down the street until we come to my apartment.
Walking up the stairs, I reach for my keys.
I go to unlock the door but it's already unlocked.
"Huh?"
I'm now confused.
"What?"
Haruki asks.
"The door it's... Already unlocked."
I answer.
He steps in front of me.
Opening it slowly, he pokes his head it.
He opens it the rest of the way.
Grabbing my hand, he walks forward.
"H-Hello?"
I say.
"Setsuna! I've been so wor--. Who's he?"
A familiar voice asks.
"Izuna?"
I ask.
"Yes?"
She says.

"Izuna, it's been like a month!"
I shout at her.
I push past Haruki and give her a hug.
"I was so worried! Where have you been for a month!? Who's that guy?"
She asks.
"I've been... Well, that's complicated. This guy is... Haruki. He's... Uh an acquai-"
Not sure what to say I begin to say acquaintance but Haruki beats me to it.
"Boyfriend."
He says.
"Oh? I didn't know you had a boyfriend Setsuna."
Izuna says with confusion still lingering in her voice.
"Neither did I."
I say looking confused at Haruki.
He smiles and takes my hand.

Really?
Okay.
Wow.

"What's all that?"
Haruki asks pointing.
