Part. 30 Fall Of His Reign

"KOU!" I run towards him but I'm stopped by Guardian.
"I don't think so, goddess." He says putting his hand in ground of me.
"You've gone too far!" I yell. The anger and hatred overwhelms me.
I stare daggers at him and mutter the incantation again. He speaks but doesn't move.
"W-what did you do? What is this!?" He frantically asks.
"It's time for you to stop killing, to stop the pain. I won't let you hurt anyone ever again!" I may say these words with passion but the tears still pour from my eyes.
I speak the other Incantation and water begins to come at him from every direction. It forms an orb around him and he gasps for air. I walk closer to him to observe.
"Now, just... give up." I whisper to him as if he could hear me. With a few more jerks of his head he seems to go limp. Both he and the water falls to the ground. It washes over my feet and over Kou's lifeless body. My head slowly rotates to look at Kou.
"Bastard! Why!? WHY!? Why did you have to go and get yourself killed!? " as I scream i continue to cry and I slowly walk towards him.
"You took me in after I left home, you gave me a job, and took care of me like I was a sister. You were so nice... you didn't deserve this. I'm so sorry." I say casting my eyes down. Suddenly I hear a noise from the window. I look over to see Yukiko.
"Master! You..." she stops and looks at Kou.
"Yukiko. I... I did everything I could." I say.
She drops to her knees and buries her face in her hands.
"This is what I get for falling in love with a human," She says. As we both sit there in silence, Kou coughs.
"Kou!" Yukiko yells, stumbling to get up.
"Yu... Kiko." He says coughing.
"Don't try to talk." Yukiko says as he reaches his side. I crawl over there and take in his broken form. His breathing is heavy and he gasps for air. He glances towards me.
"I-It's o...kay,"
"No, it's not okay. You can't do this. You're not allowed!" Tears begin to streak down my cheeks.
"Kou, don't leave me!" Yukiko sobs. With visible effort, Kou lifts his head and looks at Yukiko.
"It's... f-for the," he struggles for a bit, and takes a painful breath.
"No, stop. What did I say about talking?" She says as she smiles half heartedly. Kou's hand shakes as he brings it up to cup Yukiko's cheek. "I love you," She says.
"I—" Kou's words are cut off as his hand falls away from her face.
Yukiko remains silent. I look up to see Haruki's face. With his mouth open he doesn't move.
"Haruki..." I utter. Looking at him I jump up and bury my face in his chest. He put his arms around me. "He's gone... I almost can't believe it..." Haruki strokes my hair.
"He died for a good cause," He says soothingly.

While I was dealing with Guardian most of the Fallen had been defeated. Many escaped but that was to be expected. With magic we got rid of the fortess. Kou... we buried him at Hiroto's mansion. Somewhere we could all visit him. To the public, he's a missing person, and so am I. The only person from my old life I can talk to now is Izuna. But it's been years since then.

It never was official with Haruki, but I wanted to go with tradition.
