“Oktoberfest! Get ya’ll tickets!” I shouted.

“I can’t believe we get to do this instead of detention.” Felicia popped her gum.

“And Ya’ll better be happy I’m not spending time with my boyfriend to help save ya’ll’s asses.”

I handed the tickets to the next student.

“We better get a discount.” Evelyn mumbled.

 “Two tickets please.”

 “Forty dollars.”

I say opening another bag of tickets.

I hand them to the person, as I realize it was Nathan.

“And who are youplanning to take?”

I leaned seductively over the table.

“Depends on who’s asking.” He bent over for a quick kiss.

“Awh.” My girls exclaimed.

“Do it again.” Evelyn coaxed.

I bit my lip as my boo walked away holding our tickets.

“Would you look at that? It’s her boo thang.” Ava laughed.

 “Five tickets.” Katina snapped.

“That would be… never for  ya’ll you better find yo’ tickets elsewhere ‘cause you sure as hell ain’t gettin’ it from here.” I growled.

“See you at the dance bitches.” Ava threaded.

“She nauseates me.” Mya said.

“So.” I say trying to change the topic.

“Who are ya’ll taking to the dance?”

“I don’t even think I’m going.”  Evelyn shrugged

“With all the guys that you have to take you?” Felicia laughs.

Evelyn rolled her eyes.

I began to count the money as I let out a little laugh.

“Uh…One ticket please.”

“We’re closed.” I said, not even attempting to turn around.

“Come on Nicky. Can’t you bend the rules for a old friend?”

Braxton.

I turned around to face my ex.

“Braxton.” I said coldly.

“Don’t be like that Nicky.”

“No one calls me that anymore.” I snapped as I gave him the ticket.

“No. I don’t call you that anymore.” He smirked.

“Going alone to the dance? What a shame."

"Have a nice day." Now it was my turn to smirk.

Come on Nicky.

His voice ran through my mind as I ran to the bathroom and threw up the last for my lunch.
