"Yes mom. I know. Okay. Yeah. I'll call you when we get to the house. Alright. Bye." I ended the call and placed my phone back into my jean pocket.

We had gotten off our flight about twenty minutes ago and now were searching through conveyer belts to find our luggage. I got distracted quickly, because my mom couldn't help but call me right after my flight to make sure I was okay. Not that I blamed her; it was my first time flying without her.

I skimmed through the upcoming suitcases until I found a large black one with dark blue strips on the side. I pulled it to the floor and steadied myself so I didn't fall backwards.

"Finally," Sammi mumbled as she pulled her bright, lime green suitcase that was next to mine. The color was absolutely hideous, but it wasn't the first time Sam and I's style differed.

"Okay so you said he'll be at terminal two?" I glanced around. The Los Angeles airport was nothing like the Atlanta one. I was surprised we hadn't gotten lost.

"Yeah so we should go..." Sammi squinted at a sign before using her index finger to point right. "This way." We wheeled our suitcases against the tiled floor while avoiding bumping into people who were frantically searching for their luggage. When we reached the terminal, we paused and turned 360 as we looked for our driver.

"What did he say he looked like?" I questioned.

"He didn't. He just said he would be holding a sign up with our names." She shrugged. I turned towards her, wanting to chew her out for not getting a description of what our driver looked like. Instead I just gave her a stressed smile, signaling that I didn't want to fight with her because we were supposed to be on vacation.

Turning back, I locked eyes with a tall brunette who's arms bulged out of his tight dark green v-neck. My mouth nearly dropped. He was the most attractive guy that I had seen since... well since ever. But weirdly enough, what drawled me to him wasn't his looks, it was that he was holding a sign with Sammi and Brianna written out in cursive.

Sam walked up to him without even thinking twice.

"Sam," I hissed. I followed behind her until she stopped in front of the eye candy.

"Hi, I'm Sammi. I'm assuming you're our driver?" she fluttered eyes the way she always does when she finds someone attractive.

"Uh, I guess you could say that," he chuckled. "I'm AJ." He shook Sammi's hand before looking behind Sammi and raising his eyebrows. I couldn't see the shade of his eyes before, but now that I was up close I noticed they were the color of an evergreen tree. I've never seen a guy so gorgeous, and I couldn't help but gawk at him. "And you must be Brianna?"

"Right." I shook myself out of my trance. "Nice to meet you." I shook his hand.

"Well follow me. We have at least 30 minutes until we get to Malibu." He held the door open for us as we stepped outside into the Californian heat for the first time. The weather was a nice change compared to the the drafty inside of the airport. I couldn't see much of a view, as it was blocked by the cars lined up next to the sidewalk and the parking garages directly across from us. I didn't care though; I was just happy to be outside and out of the airport.

We followed AJ to the parking garage until we found a huge, black Chevy truck.

"I'll take your luggage." Sam handed hers over first, and he threw hers in the trunk before doing the same for me.

"He's hot huh?" She whispered to me.

"Yeah," I shrugged, pretending I didn't care too much about his looks.

I already knew that Sammi was going to go for him and I didn't want me saying I find him attractive to stop her. Although she was a flirt, she never pursued a guy if she knew I even slightly liked him. It's not like I flirted with guys I liked anyways, and Sam swears that's the only reason why I've been single for so long.

Once we were seated in the car, with Sammi in the passenger seat and me in the backseat, AJ started the car and made his way onto the freeway.

"So where are you guys from?" AJ asked.

"Atlanta," we answered in unison.

"Really? So you guys are city girls?" He smiled. My heart sped up when I saw his teeth were just as perfect as his face. I had to retreat from the conversation before I fell in love myself. I leaned back against the leather seat, and allowed Sammi to work her magic.

"Born and raised," Sammi smirked. "We're roommates at Georgia State. Our moms are good friends."

"So what made you decide to come to Cali?" He glanced over at Sam.

"The possibility of running into attractive men like you," she winked. It amazes me how fast she is, but I also wasn't in the mood to listen to her flirt with our driver.

I zoned them out for the rest of the ride by looking out the window and thinking of new ideas for my book. Well, I started thinking of new ideas for my book until I saw how tall and gorgeous the palm trees were. The sun was already going down, and it set a perfect background of yellows and oranges while I started to see the the ocean reveal in front of us. I couldn't wait until we got to the house so I could pull out my laptop and get some inspiration.

"B." I looked up to find Sammi staring straight at me with the same annoying smile she gave me when I found we were going on this trip. "We're here."
