12 years after eighth grade
the Treddy Wedding

Freddy,
I never thought I could love someone so much as I love you. The day I first met you, I knew you would turn out to be one of my best friends, but I thought that is all we would ever be, friends. At the time, my best friend, who is now standing here as my maid of honor, had a crush on you. I was determined to get you to like her. I failed several times. She is now happily married. There are no harsh feelings about his marriage. Anyways, that was just for laughs, be back to the real point, I thought we could never be together until you won prom king and and I shockingly won prom queen at our senior prom. We had the traditional kind and queen dance, and that's when I knew that I might have feelings for you. My best friend had moved on from you years ago. It was safe to like you. I knew the relationship would go no where, we were off to college. I thought the next time I would see you would be at a reunion or something. I was wrong. After Summer, I saw you standing outside of your dorm room on the way to mine. I didn't know you had chosen to attend MSU. I was shocked to see you there. I thought it was fate.
We dated through freshman and sophomore year, but that's when my brother died and I had to go stay with my family. We were ready to put the relationship to a rest.
The day we got back together was two years ago today, at Mr. Finn's wedding. Without him, I never would've realized that you were the man I was meant to marry. I was always meant to marry you. And I am ready. I am ready to become Mrs. Tomika Hamilton.
