Third Person POV
nineteen years after seventh grade
********************************

Freddy sat in the basement with his son. His son had on the stool behind that drum set that was all too big for him. Freddy stood behind the five year old.

"These are drum sticks, cool rockers, like you're going to be, call them pins."

The young boy nodded in amazement at his father. His father wanted his to grow up to be a drummer just like him.

Halfway across the basement sat Freddy's wife, Summer. She was sitting at a desk next to her daughter. She was teaching he how to manage a band.

"Ok, all you have to do is click the send button! And there you have it, you have just sent an email to three venues asking if they want to book you for an event!"

The little girl squealed and said "Again, again!"

Freddy nodded at his son. "Ok this is a drum solo. It's where you make up your own stuff to go into the song, try it out."

The boy pinned and banged on the drums, not making any real music. He couldn't even reach the pedal for the big drum yet anyways.

"Like that, daddy?" He asked.

"Exactly like that." Freddy smiled.

Summer looked down at her daughter.

"And you have to be really bossy if you want people to listen to you. Don't take no for an answer. Being a manger is hard, but I think you can handle it."

"And I won't take no for an answer!" The little girl said with a tiny lisp on her "S's." Summer smiled and looked across the room at Freddy.

They met each other's gaze. They exchanged warm smiles and looked back down at their kids.

They were passing it on.
