Freddy's POV
senior year

Summer finished curling her hair for prom. She slipped into her white dress and came running down the stairs, we were already an hour late for the dance.
"Ok, let's get to dinner." She smiled, slinging on her shoes.
We already missed our reservation time. The dance had already going on. We'd only get to be there for an hour if we left to eat now. There was no point.
"Summer, let's just not go." I smiled.
"No, no, no, we can't do that. I'm up for prom queen!"
"So, we're already going to be way too late to have fun anyways. Let's just have our own prom, here."
"At my house?"
"Sure. It'll be fun." She frowned and finished her way down the stairs. I grabbed reached for her hand, but she pulled it away. She folded her arms across her chest. She was not happy with me.
I walked ahead of her and dimmed the lighted in her living room. I ran up to her room to grab her little speaker to plug my phone into. I looked up a prom mix on youtube and played it.
"C'mon, lighten up." I said.
She gave an exasperated sigh and came and joined me in the livingroom. I slipped my arms around her waist and her put her hands around my neck. We smiled and slow danced. She rested her head on my shoulder and continued to dance. We kissed and another song came on. We kept dancing. It was like our own little prom.

The next morning, I woke up next to Summer, we both still wearing prom attire. She was still in flowing white dress and I was still wearing my tux. I gently shook Summer awake. She had fallen asleep on the coffee table.
"Where am I?" She asked groggily.
"Your living room." I smiled.
"And you stayed the night?"
"I guess so."
Summer chuckled once. "My parents are gonna kill me." She laughed once again, and looked at me. She cupped my face in her hands and kissed me.
"But I don't care."
