Troyes pov:
Three days after my first day at school and I still have no friends. I hadn't seen Connor since then either. I went to my locker to get my math book and started walking down the hall.
"Troye!" I heard someone yell making me stop. Who would be calling me? I don't know anyone here. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I flicked my head around. It was Connor. "Hey," he said with a big smile.
"Oh hey Connor," I said surprised to see him. A smile creeping onto my face.
"Sorry I haven't been at school, I was," he paused "sick."
"That's ok are you alright now?" I asked.
"Yeah I'm fine. So how are you this morning?" He said with a big smile on his face.
"Well pretty good so far how about you?"
"Yeah it's been alright," he stopped but before I could ask any questions he continued "so I want you to come meet my friends."
"I don't know remember what happened the other day," I said concerningly.
"No it will be fine, I talked to Caspar after that the other day. Besides you need friends don't you?"
"Yeah but-"
"Come on," Connor said grabbing my arm and pulling me down the hallway to the cafeteria.

There were a few groups in the cafeteria all sitting around tables. "Hey guys I want you to meet someone," Connor said loud enough so that everyone at the table could hear. They all turned around. "So Troye this is Joe, Caspar who you met the other day, Jim, Tanya, Marcus, Niomi, Alfie, Zoe, Tyler, Dan, Phil, and Lilly," he says pointing to them. "Everyone this is Troye," he added. Everyone waved.
"Hey buddy," I turned around to see Caspar looking at me "about what I said the other day, I'm sorry I didn't mean it," he said.
"That's ok," I said smiling at him. He smiled back.
"Hi," said two people at the same time. I turned my head to see a girl with blue eyes and onbrey hair and a guy with mint green hair and black glasses.
"Hi," I said smiling.
"I'm Zoe and this is Tyler," she said excitedly pointing to the guy standing next to her.
"It's nice to meet you," I said
"So where are you from?" Tyler asked.
"Perth Australia," I said.
"Really?" Tyler's eyes widened.
"Yeah."
"That's a long way away," said Zoe.
"Yeah it is," I said.
"So why did you move here? If you don't mind me asking," said Zoe.
"No it's fine, we moved because my dad got a new job here and my family had to move."
"Nice," said Tyler.
"Hi Connor," I heard a girl giggle behind me. I turned around and saw a girl hanging off Connor neck. My stomach churned.
"Hi Bethany," Connor said unamused.
"Ugh," Zoe said next to me. "That's Bethany. She's always hanging off Connor like he's a tree or something," She whispered into my ear. She rolled her eyes and I giggle. Bethany heard as she looked up at us still around Connors neck.
"What was that Zoe?" Bethany snapped.
"Oh nothing Bethany," Zoe said smiling a fake smile.
"That's what I thought," Bethany said before looking at me. "Who's this?" Connor looked at me and shoved Bethany off his shoulders.
"This is Troye, he's new," he said coming over to me and putting his arm around my shoulders. I couldn't help but smile.
"Oh ok so why is he over here?" She said frowning.
"Because Connor is being nice and helping out someone unlike something you would do," Alfie snapped. I tried so hard not to burst out laughing right there and then.
"I would help someone out if they needed it," snapped Bethany.
"Oh yeah right. Was that like the time you said you would leave Connor alone, but that didn't happen either did it?" snapped Naomi.
"I- um- yo-," Bethany stuttered.
"Face it Bethany you care about no one but yourself," said Zoe.
"That's not true," Bethany said walking over to me. She put one hand on my chest and the other on my arm. "Would you like me to help you?" She said walking her fingers up my chest and looking me straight in the eyes.
"Sorry Bethany but you're not my type," I say before grabbing Connor by the arm and walking off leaving her speechless. I could hear the whole group laughing as I walked away. I couldn't help but smile.

When we got out the hallway I stopped and turned to Connor.
"I'm so sorry about that I-"
"No don't be sorry thank you," he said cutting me off.
"For what?" I said frowning.
"For getting me away from her," he said smiling.
"I thought you liked her."
"No I don't like her she annoys me. I have never been able to get out of the same room as her fast enough. But you did and I thank you for that."
"Oh well you're welcome," I said smiling. We turned and started walking slowly down the hallway.
"Maybe I should stick with you more often," he said still looking at me. I smiled and went to reply when the bell rang. "What class do you have?" He said quickly.
"Maths with mrs Best," I said.
"Same let's go," he said and we walked down the hallway to class.
