"We have a big announcment to make!" Jake shouted, snapping me out of my trance like state. My eyes stayed glued to Haden, and I didn't move it was as if my whole body was frozen. I watched as a blonde weaved her way through the crowd, and my eyes widened as I realized she was headed for Haden. She crept to his side and giggled, fluttering her eye lashes at him. I grit my teeth and clenched my hands into fists, as I watched her hit his arm playfully. Oh how I wanted to....

"Kayla?" Jake's voice rang, and my eyes strayed from the two as I turned to face Jake. "Hmmm?" I questioned, slowly snapping my head back in Haden's direction, I missed the sight of his face. A small smile crept onto his lips as the girl stood on the tips of her feet and cupped her hand around his ear, she whispered something and he turned to face her. His face softened, as much as I wanted to turn away I couldn't. Jake tried to follow the direction that I was focusing on, but I turned to face him before he could scan the crowd.

"Jake you should just make the announcement." I snapped gripping his sholder. I needed to distract myself, because it was killing me to watch that blonde with her hands all over Haden. I bounced on the balls of my feet, there had to be something that I could turn my attention to I knawed at my lower lip trying to resist the urge to search for Haden. Jake turned to the now chattering crowd and loudly cleared his throat, "As I said before we have an annoncement to make." Jake shouted above the noise, his face hardened as he looked off into the crowd. At once all noise stopped, and Jake continued talking as he paced the front of the room. "I know that having two rival packs crammed into the same room can be frustrating, but it is only because..." Jake trailed off his gaze meeting mine. He strides toward me and takes my hand, intertwining it with his. The color drains from my face as I prepare myself for his next words, I know that I haven't even been brave enough to accept. "Meet your new luna!" he exclaims, raising our still intertwinned hands in the air and waving it back and forth in a sign of happiness. It takes a few moments for the two packs to digest this information, but then they burst out in cheers, pumping their fists in the air.

The wolfs storm in, encircling us with 'congratulations' and shrieks of cheers, pretty soon people are all around me shaking my hand or even patting my back. I lost sight of Jake, so I continue to wander throughout the room, the air is stuffy with so many bodies clustering together. I continue to shove my way through until an arm firmly slings itself over my waist, not allowing me to walk any further. It grips my hips, drawing circles into my skin this sends waves of pleasure throughout my veins and I step back crashing into hard body behind me, my thoughts are foggy as I inhale the subtle musk wafting in the air. The arm drags me out into the bitter cold night, we are so close I can feel his minty breath fanning over my neck, he slowly whispers pronouncing ever word carefully "You never kissed me."

a/n  okay so incase you didn't get that last part, let me refresh your memory (i know I haven't updated in a long time so you are probably going to forget)

"If you don't care about me, kiss me and then I will leave you alone." He replied, his tone hushed. I could tell that he was breaking down inside, and a wave of emptiness swallowed me whole.

Haden knew that I couldn't kiss him, I wasn't strong enough to press my lips against his. Some where in the back of my head I knew that I wouldn't be able to let him go if I had kissed his lips. So I did the only thing I could. I ran.
