I feel like this ship appeals to me more than it should.
Honestly, behind Pipabeth and maybe Clarilena, I think this might be one of my favorite yuri ships in this fandom. Objectively there isn't really much to it, but I can't help it, I just really like this, a lot.
I feel that Theyna does what Leyna desperately tries to do and fails at. It's the pair of a more free and rebellious soul paired with someone who can't afford being free or rebellious if she wants the best for her legion. Despite that though, they're not too different, both understanding the burden of being pulled away from your sibling, and both being great leaders. I feel that Reyna respects Thalia even if she finds her tactics to be kinda ridiculous, and Thalia canonly thinks that Reyna is very good, she's clearly impressed by her (and that's saying something, because Thalia is not easy to impress).
I just see this as a super fun and sassy pair between two badass ladies. And it has a little bit of angst to, with the idea of them doubting that they really love each other, that Thalia sees Reyna as 'the Luke she can have' or Reyna sees Thalia as 'the Grace she can have'. I just can't seem to get tired of thinking of how these two would click, Theyna doesn't bore me. Honestly, if I can't have Pipabeth be the canon yuri pair, I want it to be this one. Also to see Thalia mocking the other huntresses because of her newfound 'we swore off boys not love' loophole. That's awesome too.
