I don't know what's more shocking. The fact that people in this fandom care about Clovis or the fact that he's being shipped with Nico. Look, I've said before that I really don't ship Nico with anyone other than Percy and Magnus. And I said in the last chapter that I don't like Nico ships that are just fluffy because I think it's a disservice to how interesting Nico's character is. So shipping Nico with Clovis, who actually matters less than Will Solace in the story, is veeeeery cheap, and very silly. I will drag Solangelo for being with a character who doesn't matter, so this ship should have the same treatment.

Obviously, this doesn't suck like Solangelo does, because at least Clico doesn't have shitty moments. But like, I don't think it's good, either. The main appeal of this ship seems to be that Clovis helps Nico sleep better after the Tartarus trauma. And that Nico also mutually helps Clovis to not be so lazy. That's all fine and dandy, and I think it's a good set up for a ship. Hell, I like to imagine Percy and Nico coming closer because they mutually help each other with their Tartarus drama. But like...Clovis doesn't even HAVE a personality. His main trait is that he sleeps all the damn time. And you're gonna ship him with the most complex character in the series? Get the hell out of here.

The shippers are pretty imaginative with the ship, and they do have interesting ideas, but honestly, there's only so much you can do when you ship such a complex character with a nobody, especially when all you can use is Sleep as the main appeal. I guess people just really like ships that are all about cuddles, but like...cuddles can be platonic too?? And besides, you're doing a Cuddle Ship with someone who canonly does not like to be touched...come on...

Overall, this ship is kinda not bad, but also pretty dumb. All of these boys, are you're really gonna ship Nico with a character who barely exists. Come on, we all can do better.
