"maybe she'll see us." jungkook gulped, watching as taehyung and jimin were literally sitting a table not too far from you and hoseok's. but it was still a considerably far distance in the cafe.

"no, she won't, so stop worrying." taehyung sat down in his seat after receiving his cappuccino.

"how can i not worry? she'll see us!" jungkook urged.

"shut up," jimin groaned, "she won't. so let's just watch what's going on."

after the conversation you and hoseok had walking around the town, you two had eventually found a cafe near by. well, it was the same cafe that you and your friends would go to a lot. it was the perfect spot where hoseok could get used to going, since he was apart of your friend group now.

well at least you hoped.

you were sitting in your chair, poking the small pastry on your plate with your tiny fork. hoseok was sitting across from you, checking something on his phone before placing it on the table and looking up at you.

your conscience couldn't help but fall for those brown eyes. "hey hoseok-ah."

"yes?" he asked politely.

you smiled, "so you've only been here for more than two weeks? doesn't that make you new here?"

hoseok nodded and scratched his ear, "yeah, i am. i've been homeschooled for about.." he counted in his head, "two years?"

you blinked and were a bit taken back by the sudden information, "you were homeschooled?"

hoseok nodded, "mhm, my parents were worried because i was bullied during my freshman year of highschool. no one in freshman year really talked to me or paid attention to me besides those bullies of course."

your heart sank hearing that, "why would anyone bully you?"

"i was a scrawny and nerdy kid back then i guess," hoseok's hand was petting his own, "but it's okay, they moved away. but..that's also why you don't see me reading so much."

"because you're scared of looking like a victim?"

"well when you say it like that, it sounds lame." hoseok laughed at himself, "but yeah, let's go with that."

you nodded at the facts that hoseok was telling you. you couldn't help but pity him, he didn't look like the type to ever be messed with. hoseok was too happy and smiley to seem like someone to bully, he was so bubbly and extroverted you couldn't imagine him ever being bullied by dumb kids giving him a hard time.

you found yourself unconsciously frowning, "poor hobi..."

"hobi?"

after realizing that you said that out loud, you blushed.

dammit (your name)! stop saying your damn thoughts out loud! you mentally screamed at yourself.

"i uh, i'm sorry, that slipped-"

"no, no," hoseok shook his hands and smiled, "it's alright! it's cute..i like it."

you sighed in relief and grinned up at the boy. how could anyone be this sweet? hoseok was literally an angel, perfect in every way. but not as perfect as jimin, right?

speaking of jimin, he was staring at you and hoseok down like a protective father or brother figure. his gaze was so intense it was creeping taehyung out, whom had hit his arm as they were spying.

"what?" jimin glared.

"stop doing that," taehyung warned, "you look like a serial killer waiting for their next victim."
