Again, we have people wanting characters to shack up because... reasons?
Ino trusts Shikamaru because they're on the same team and they've been teammates for years. His shadow jutsu holds opponents still until her mind transfer jutsu can reach them, so he protects her body in the meantime. But, who wouldn't watch over a teammate- especially one with whom you've grown up for the past x amount of years?!
So... It's a notp for me...
If holding onto somebody's unconscious body can warrant such feverish shipping, then this fandom should not become lawyers... In the real world, that could be considered sexual harassment and/or sexual assault.
