This ship is labelled "semi-canon." What that means is that it was making progress until a character died. That being said, Tsunade is involved in about three semi-canon ships. The ship that gets me is JiraTsu.
He had an instant crush and attempted quite often to confess. Tsunade, a tsundere, would punch him. He'd keep coming back for more, and she'd keep hitting. Then they split and reunited, becoming drinking buddies.
It's hinted that Tsunade was going to go out with him if he survived his battle with Pain, which he did not. At the news of this, Tsunade sobs outside of her office and says that she's still betting on him.
I don't normally get all... mushy... over ships, more irate, but this one gets me right in the feels and it just ain't letting go.
