She had a crush on him, and I'm pretty sure that he returned the feelings... So, why don't I ship this semicanon pairing? Well, Rin reminds me a lot of Sakura- whose pairing with Kakashi that I react to soon. Kakashi has always worn a mask, hiding his face all of the time and even his emotions for a good bit of the time. He has a reason to hide what he's actually feeling, due to the fate that befell his father. As for Rin, she is very open and kind. Normally, I'd say that she could break him out of his shell. However, whom do we see her with for her very last appearance? It isn't exactly Kakashi. Rin, though dead, moved on from Kakashi and onto the man that openly loved her.
There was a time when I did ship this, but then she made that statement- "I've always been watching over you." Again, it wasn't to Kakashi.
She was waiting and waiting on The Other Side. Kakashi never verbally admitted whether or not the feelings were mutual. Even a dead girl cannot wait for forever.
