Natalie

"Rawr, I'm gonna get you!" Hayden growled, ready to pounce at August. "I'm gonna eat you all up if you don't run... now!"

August squealed as Hayden came for him, until Sawyer came in and saved the day, snatching Sawyer from their father's grasp with Temple hanging into his back.

I smiled as I looked upon my family, and the dogs joined in as well, everyone happy as can be, all laughing and playing together and getting along.

We had raised out family well.

Then, again I opened my eyes to a dark, silent but familiar room around me and gasped suddenly, jerked out of my sleep.

Of course, as always, Hayden was right at my side, asking, "Natalie, are you okay?" He tucked as section of my hair that was in my face behind my ear, meeting eyes with me.

"Yeah. I just had a dream."

"A good dream or a bad dream?"

"A good dream."

"Well, what was it about?"

I paused for a moment, thinking, gathering my words and thoughts. "I had a dream that we were perfect. That we raised our family wonderfully and nothing at the time was there to get in the way of our happiness.

But I think that's just retelling the story of our lives."
