Chapter 2- Complications

I sigh shakily, trying to regather my thoughts. Kindness. Kindness is the best approach. So I give him my best smile. "It's nice to meet you, Harry.." He smiles a little crookedly and nods.

I glance around at his arms that are still trapping me against the locker. He has a small smile, eyes following me. I clear my throat awkwardly, silently asking for him to let me by. He obviously understands, but ignores me.

"Harry, please move.." I mumble, looking down. He purses his lips, one eyebrow raising slightly. "Why?" He chuckles softly. I lift my chin up a little. "I need to get to my class.." I explain patiently, starting to duck under his arm.

I feel his warm hand grip my wrist, pulling me back. "Slow down there.." He murmurs. Irritation bubbles up in me and I yank on my wrist.

"Quit it!" I snap.

His eyes widen a little in interest, smile growing. "There we go. A bit of fire!" He says lightly, pulling on my wrist. I grit my teeth, jerking my wrist free.

Was he really worth the trouble? I look back at him to see him smirking at my audacity. I pause, looking down at my empty hands.

My books. I forgot my books.

I look back at Harry and he grins cheekily, waving at me. I force a smile and slowly walk back over.

"Excuse me.." I mumble, stepping in front of my locker. I feel heat on my back again and slowly look over my shoulder. He's standing inches from me, smirking.

"Can I help you?" I ask politely. He chuckles and shakes his head, voice filled with amusement "Nope." I pause and nod, turning back to the locker.

He's still standing behind me. He doesn't move a muscle when I open the door. I bend down, picking up my backpack from the bottom of my locker. Harry still doesn't move and I feel myself brush up against him. I gasp a little, looking back at him to see him grinning.

I squirm uncomfortably, grabbing my binder from the bag, then standing up. I slam the locker and start to step around him when I feel my binder disappear from my arms. I look back in bewilderment, seeing Harry wave it tauntingly.

"Harry, give me my binder!" I whine.

He grins, insisting "No, you come get it!"

I sigh a little and reach for it. He twists out of reach and I frown. "Harry, give it." I say firmly. He shakes his head with a smile, holding it above his head. I'm not too short, but he's so much taller. Easily over six feet.

I grunt, jumping towards the binder. He laughs, standing on his tiptoes and holding it just out of reach. "Harry, please! I'm gonna be late!" I beg quietly. Harry purses his lips cheekily and pretends to consider it. After a moment he smiles.

"Kiss me."

My jaw drops and my brows knit together. "Absolutely not!" I protest. He pretends to pout, glaring. I glare back and hold out my hand. After a moment he whines like a child "At least a kiss on the cheek?" I shake my head again. He frowns deeply, genuine confusion in his eyes.

"Why not?" He asks slowly. I scoff, all patience gone. "Because you're being a jerk." His eyes flash in anger and he sneers briefly "Fine. You want a jerk? You'll get a jerk."

He drops the binder onto the floor, kicking it away. My brows furrow deeply as he storms off and I sigh, walking over and picking up the binder again.

Clayton jogs up to me and grimaces, mumbling quietly "Don't take it personally. He's always like that.." I nod a little, looking down at my schedule. After a moment, Clayton sighs, clapping my shoulder. "Get to class.. Diana.. It's gonna be a long day.."
