chapter fifteen

Amber's POV
I was walking with Hugh going for lunch but that mark on his eye was not pleasing to look at,I looked around and when I saw no one giving us attention, I pulled him to the girls washroom, luckily no one was there.

"Hey don't get any idea that am interested in you pretty face."he started and I rolled my eyes.

" Am not Hugh, am just looking for a way to help you get rid of that mark on your face."I said looking for my M.A.C concealer on my small makeup bag and when I finally  found  it I gave it to him,where he gave me a questioning look,"what ,"I asked him.

"How do you expect me to use this thing," he asked turning it over and over.

"Ok am gonna help you but don't get the idea that I want you," I said moving closer to him and started applying on his eye and when I was done,I told him to turn around and look at himself.

"Wow not bad at least no one can notice until you look closely, um...thanks... Amber," he said and I smiled.

"You've finally said my name,I never knew you could have mentioned it."I said and he looked at me in a serious note.ok let's just say I have ruined the moment. I thought for once we could be on the same page .or maybe am just concluding on my very thought which can't be true.

" I have this serious thing that is bothering me,and I want you to help me..."he started and my heart started betraying me by beating very first. Ok this sounded very serious .

"Ok am listening..." I responded.

He gave a long sign before pouring it out,"I think am gay but am not sure of myself can I kiss you to prove whether I am or am just straight."he said and I was totally taken back.

"You want to kiss me," I asked and he nodded."why me?why not other girls? "I continued.

"Coz I think girls are clumsy... But not you,you are different from them and I like you but not other girls." He said.

"There, you are gay,you don't like girls," I said and he shook his head.

"I may never know if I will like them afterwards you know," he said and I signed loudly.

"Oh please don't fool me," I thought closing my eyes wanting to get over this thing because I knew we won't move from here anytime soon at one instance he laughed pretty hard.

"Why are you making faces pretty face," he said through his laughs and I was surprised.

"Nothing can we get this over with." I said and he looked at me.

"Oh ok." He asked  and I was silent."you know you are starting to behave like Garcia right now and I don't like it.

"Excuse me?" I said like I didn't hear him well.

"Well you are giving me the silent treatment that he always does." He says and I sign inwardly.

"Let's just get over with this, and will probably know the end result or not." I said and he nodded and this time I never closed my eyes in case I make faces again.

We were just leaning towards each other when the door opened and we jumped apart.

"What is going on here?" Oh no! I know that voice, how did he find us.

"George!we were not doing anything," I started but at the same time Hugh didn't shut up and said."we were kissing got a problem with that.

"Yes,why would she be kissing you," George started and I stared at him wide eyed,I have never in my entire life seen this anger raging out of his mostly his eyes gave away.

"

Sorry it was uncalled for and it has just happened in a spur of a moment." I started,he was so tensed up earlier but now it seemed as if he  was calm about the situation .

"I know I heard everything," he started and I was again stunned.

"So you have no problem if I kiss her," Hugh started and I could tell he was provoking George who just signed.

"No, but only a peck" he said quickly and Hugh made me face him.

"Gladly," Hugh said leaning towards me.

I was pretty sure George was not ok about this so I was counting from ten before Hugh's lips landed on mine to see if George would interrupt us so...10...9...8...7...6-,yeah he did interrupt us.

"Stop please you are both torturing me and I can't take it, ok." George started.

"I knew it,but this is my one chance to see what I really am and you are not letting me." Hugh complained and Garcia turned towards him.

"Of all the girls in this school you had to choose Amber,"he said with a change of tone which made Hugh speechless, is there something am missing here.

"  Never again dude... I'll let you do that but not with Amber am I clear." George responded.

"Ok George I know you care for me in a very brotherly way but I can handle myself and am just trying to help here. "I protested but he interrupted me.

" you can handle it but I can't, "he said taking my hand and pulled me out of the girls washroom with Hugh lugging behind.
