chapter thirty

Alicia's pov
"It's now or never I have to tell him,Huh kind of reminds me of glee when Britney spears told Marley to tell Jake that she wanted him to go to the dance with her I loved the musical numbers' I told myself as everyone around dinner was joking around, telling some nonsense stories and others were just concerned for my poor sister who looked like she could pass out any minute I felt sorry for her really,I just hoped that my bond with her will grow like that of her and Eddie and also George who was hopelessly in love with her even right now he was staring at her like she was the only precious thing in his life even if she was sick but those two were an acception for me.

"So... Alicia I heard from a little bird that you  have a crush on someone.," Jessica started and I heard Amber scold her silently but I wanted him to know.

"It's ok Amber I do like someone," I said eyeing on Nicholas who looked worried 'was I that hideous' and thinking of this I became angry." Really Nicky what would it take to like someone like me am just the same as Amber " I said as his eyes widened.

"Because its not right at all," he said and I scoffed louder and now everyone's attention were on me and Nicholas.

" Why you have someone else in mind ," I asked looking at both his and Amber's expression and I got  a blank from Nicholas and a curious from Amber,I think she was asking herself how could anyone like Nicholas more than a brotherly way,I understand her very well more like telepathy.

" No but I don't think my relationship with you should be more than friends,it should be like mine and Amber." He replied and I felt my heart break into a million pieces as the table broke into a deep silence.

" Ouch! That was harsh for someone who has a crush on you," candy broke the silence as I got even more curious of his word ,more like he was hinting at something else .

" I don't know... seems like you are hiding something- " I started but Mom interrupted me.

" Honey can't we have a peaceful dinner first then talking will come later..." She said and I looked at her and Mr Hunter who had  suspicious and guilty looks at the same time .well this could be interesting.

" So what is it that makes us not be together,I mean you are a fair person,am a beautiful girl ,I think we can make a perfect- " I started again ignoring mom and all the girls were giggling but stopped when Nicholas stood up.

" Because you are my sister..." He shouted and I heard gasps everywhere am sure mine was included," there you wanted to know why I can't be with you and if we weren't related I still wouldn't consider you a person to date either" He said and now I had tears in my face ' wow am that unlovable' I thought louder.

" No Alicia you are lovable -  " Amber started but Eddie stopped her.

" Don't tell her that of which is not true, Alicia you are a monster you make enemies wherever you go, you made Amber's life unbearable for her ever since she was a child and now you have the guts to say you are beautiful even though you have a black heart don't you think you should have apologized to her and everyone here and like everywhere,but I guess karma works best ,the attention you looked for where is it Huh,you know what it's true when they say what goes around comes around," he said  all that he had kept in years and everyone was gaping at him I know I deserve all this and I will apologize but at the right time.

" Nicholas is our brother that means...am gonna be sick can I be excused," Amber said standing up but everyone was at her toes.

" No Amber you need to face this just like the rest of your family," Jessica started.

" She's right please, we'll be here with you the whole time," Kimberly continued.

"I called mom saying I have a sleepover so you don't have to get rid of me easily," melody said and candy just nodded,guess she didn't know how to handle emotions.

" Guys this is nice but am really not feeling good right now..." She tried to say again but no one was having it.

" Honey please it's time you know the truth," mom said as she exchanges looks with Mr Hunter who nodded .

" Please don't block us again," Eddie whispered to her and George whispered to her something I didn't get but who care,see this attitude of mine is the one I need to throw away now everyone is mad at me.

"Guy - " the next thing Amber removes from her mouth is vomit to everyone surrounding her and am not exergerating it's true , everyone gets a piece of her vomit
Wow I really feel bad for them." I told you guys I wasn't feeling well." She said in a scolding way .

"I'll get her cleaned up then tuck her to bed ,night everyone, "George volunteered like a good boy but he has changed from what I heard about him. I also excused myself but then I remembered I had to do chores for a week so I proceeded to the kitchen.

" Ok everyone to clean up then sleep,see you tomorrow," I heard mom said in haste her voice disappearing I guess she went back to her bedroom and I proceeded to wash the utensils ,placed everything in its place then head for my room to have a big slumber.

George's pov
I was  observing Amber the whole dinner,she was tired,I forced her to eat with us but only so I wouldn't be bored. Am still surprised that Alicia confessed the whole liking to Nicholas and talk about rejection man I feel for her and then Nicholas drops a bomb that they are related,talk about more surprises,am just flabbergasted by the whole family.

"Hey Jessica, would you remind your sister that our birthday is next weekend," I overheard Eddie speaking to Jessica.

"Sure," she replied then he went to his room.

'Amber's birthday is coming ' and thanks be to Eddie,I didn't buy anything but heads up I have to start thinking of something.

"Here," I say to Amber as I hand her her toothbrush with paste in it and thanks me,it's doesn't take long because next she rinses her mouth and faces me making a face but it cute.

" You smell," she says walking to the bed ," but thanks for rescuing me there but still I have to face the truth somehow but I also need just a little time from here before it falls on me again." She continued and I know what she meant but I hope she won't build her walls high again,I would try to break but then maybe it will be too late.

" How long," I asked and she looked confused but then caught up.

" Oh even a day is ok," she said and I nodded.

" If you get well by tomorrow we can head back to my home,"I said and she frowned maybe she didn't want to go,or be near me.

" Oh that great I hope I feel better too." She said with a smile that didn't reach her eyes,ok I may have said something that affected her," but I know I'll be better tomorrow night," she continued as she avoided eye contact and I decided to give her space.

" Goodnight then sleep well," I said kissing her forehead then closed her door  and headed to my room to clean up but it wasn't long before I heard her crying for the first time since Henry's death.

"Are you ok," I heard a boys voice and I became angry,who was that at the first place.

" I don't get this life is more complicated than when we were young,why does it have to be like this," she replied and cried again and the boy shushed her.

" It's gonna be alright, don't worry," the boy said and now I wasted no time but to go there why did I have the one to comfort her,am the one closer to her.

" Oh hey bro,just a second." Eddie said as I berged into the room without knocking and I felt embarrassed .

" Oh it's ok take all the time you want, goodnight," I said closing the door and went back to my room and listened to music till I slept.
