why?

Lisa's POV

I stand watching in shock with tears rolling down my face as the firemen are extinguishing what's left of the flames and all I can think about is that Michael was inside.

"Please! You have to let me through! Please!" I hear Kathrine screaming and crying and I walk over towards her and one of the firemen.

"Ma'am. You can't come over here. It's still dangerous"

"I don't care! My son was in there and he- he... please? My baby boy was in there an... and..." she weeps. "I need to see him"

"I'm sorry ma'am" he says softly "but..." she begins then stops when she sees me. "Why? Why did Michael go back in there?" She sobs shakily and I wrap my arms around her. "I don't know" I croak as she holds onto me tighter.

"This is all your fault" she sniffles pushing me away "what? No. I never told him to go back insi..."

"But he told you to wait! He told you, but you wouldn't wait!" She snaps "and I'm sorry, but..."

"Sorry!? My beautiful baby boy is gone because of you and all you can say is your sorry!!!?" She screams and starts hitting at me

"Mother!" I hear Randy say grabbing her off of me and she turns to him and sobs. "We heard about the explosion. What's going on? Where's Michael?" He asks "he- he's...." she stutters and breaks down in his arms "where is he?" He turns to me "I'm so sorry" sob shakily and walk away from them.

Kathrine's POV

"Kathrine? Where's Michael?" Joesph asks stern, yet shakily "he's he's.... he's gone" I whisper shakily looking at what's left of the building and he shakes his head. "No... no he can't be" he says refusing to believe it.

Joesph's POV

I stand frozen looking at the building as the firemen finish putting out the last of the flames as Kathrine continues talking shakily trying to explain.
"I tried to stop him, but he ran back inside. Why would he do that?" She croaks and we all break down crying.

Janet's POV

"He- he's not...." I stutter. "He can't be..." I shake my head. "He would have got out before..."

"The building just exploded with him inside! How could he have gotten out!?" Mother snaps then breaks down again and I turn and walk closer to the building. "Janet, we can't go over there. It's not safe" LaToya says walking over to me. "He can't be gone.. he just can't" I shake my head refusing to believe it.

Randy's POV

I hear screaming and turn as see Janet going hysterical screaming and crying at a fireman and we all rush over. "Ma'am you need to calm..."

"Don't tell her to calm down! Are brothers in there!!!" I scream at him. And he looks at us all sympatheticly, but doesn't say anything.

Kathrine's POV

"Please just let us through? My baby was in there. I need to see him please?" I plead with him and he doesn't say anything for a moment

"I'm sorry" he mutters and I'm about to speak, but another fireman calls him over "excuse me" he says softly and rushes over.

"I need to see him" I say shakily and Joesph pulls me in close to him "he must have been terrified" I sob into his chest as he holds me tighter.

"Oh my God!" I gasp breaking away and he looks at me confused "it's Michael" I say shakily rushing over towards the crowd of people surrounding them.

"I need everybody to step back" a police officer says trying to break up the crowd. "Ma'am you can't..." he begins, but I shove past him a rush over through the crowd.
