Micheal's POV

It's the morning of Mary's trial and everybody has come over early. The rest of the family won't be giving evidence or anything, but their coming to the court anyway for support.

Everybody is in the kitchen talking and going through the trial and I see Leanne come downstairs wearing a hoodie and some lose jeans and goes straight into the living room without glancing away from her phone.

"Are you ok?" I ask going into the living room and sit beside her on the sofa. "I'm fine" she smiles at me through pursed lips then continues playing some game on her phone.

"You do know what's happening today right?" I ask softly and she nods, not saying anything, still playing with her phone.

I take the phone from her and she finally looks up at me. "You need to start getting ready. We have to be there in an hour" I say softly. "I'm already dressed"

"Your going to court like that?" I frown confused. "None of my other clothes cover up my baby bump"

"It's doesn't normally bother you people seeing your pregant" I frown confused. "It doesn't, but today's different"

"Is that what your worried about? Baby, nobody's gonna be judging you"

"But they'll be judging you. How are you gonna explain to a court full of people how you got 17 year old pregant when we're both saying we haven't had sex?" She points out "that's true. I didn't even think about that" I sigh. "But other than that your ok?"

"I'm fine" she smiles at me through pursed lips.

"What are you doing sitting around? You should be dressed by now" my mother says coming into the living room. "She is dressed"

"She can't go like that" she frowns then turns to Leanne "go upstairs and change quick before we're late and.."

"She's fine with what she's wearing" I say then give Leanne her phone back and take my mother's hand leading out of the room and explain.

"She must have something better she could wear. She can't show up in court in jeans, sneakers and a hoodie"

"If that's what makes her comfortable then that's what she'll wear" I shrug. "But what will the court's think? It looks like she can't even be bothered. Even now, She's sitting in there playing on her phone" she frowns confused.

"If it keeps her calm and relaxed before the trail then leave her to it" Janet cuts in "Leanne's the key witness in all of this remeber? What she's wearing doesn't matter it's what she says that's important"

"Do you think she'll be ok in there?" Randy turn to me. "I hope so" I sigh, looking into the living and Leanne is still sitting on the sofa with her phone.

Leanne's POV

We get to the court house and everybody is talking to one of the lawyers about the trail and I'm sat quietly on one of the chairs and Lisa walks over to me.

"Hey, um... shouldn't you be with the others? You really don't wanna be on your own at a time like this"

"I just want some piece and quiet before I go inside"

"It's better to be with Micheal and the others though. You really don't wanna be by yourself at a time like this" she says softly.

"What's going on?" Micheal asks coming over. "I was just saying she shouldn't be sitting out here by herself" she shrugs innocently. "She's not by herself" he frowns and she doesn't say anything and walks away. "Did she say something to you?" Micheal asks once she leaves and I shake my head. "She was just checking I was Ok" I smile through pursed lips. "Are you ready to go inside?"
