Anna had woken up at five thirty in the morning. She had only a few hours of sleep, but she was vibrant with energy and purpose. Everything was packed before she went to bed and stuff laid out for her shower when she woke so that she wouldn't waste a minute. She rushed through her makeup with expert precision and threw her bags in the car. She had dressed comfortably for the long drive and made sure she hadn't forgotten a thing before going to her friend Susie's cabin.

Though it was winter the sun started to rise into the sky as it played in the clouds while it rose. Anna knew it was going to be a great trip. She knocked on Susie's door who greeted her with wild hair, blinking eyes, and wearing a set of pink long johns. Anna had called her right after Jake left to his cabin to set up the switch. She had seated them the night before and got a good look of Jake for which she approved with a wink before she walked away to which Jake wasn't even paying attention.

"Anna, it is so early." Susie said with a crackling voice.

"Susie, I love this look. You pull your hair back into a ponytail so much I didn't even know how blonde it truly is! It's beautiful my dear!" Anna said as she was holding her keys out to Susie.

It was then that Susie remembered their agreement.

"Oh Anna, I am so excited and so nervous at the same time." Susie said.

"I have insurance and I am pretty sure you are a good driver since you have at least five years of driving under your belt." Anna reminded her encouragingly.

"Yes, my Mom taught me well. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Anna." Susie said squealing.

"I'll be back on Wednesday probably at night. My info and number are here in case you need it. I really appreciate the switch. I just don't want Jake to think I am following him when we are both going in the wrong direction." Anna said as she handed Stacy a piece of paper.

"How did it go last night?" Susie said with a hopeful gleam to her eyes that all young women still held onto.

"He's who I am going to marry, that's for sure." Anna said with a wicked smile.

The girls hugged and switched Anna's stuff into Susie's car.

Anna had sent a text to her father the night before, but this morning she also sent one that said she was on her way down. She drove out of the lot in Susie's car, passed Jake's truck and parked at the little restaurant. Knowing Jake was still asleep, Anna ran in to get fresh gourmet coffee and a few healthy wraps to keep it light on her stomach through the overpass. As a driver she never got sick at all but didn't want to take the chance, so kept it light. When she rides with Nate, it's a whole different story.

Parked in the back of the parking lot of the resort in her friend's light blue car, Anna quickly put on her black A-line bob wig that she had worn to the bar. She looked around to be sure nobody had witnessed her putting it on. She loved changing into new looks, it almost made her feel different. It wasn't until around seven thirty she saw Jake driving down to the restaurant to get his own coffee and breakfast before heading out onto the freeway. One last sip of her coffee Anna secured it in the cup holder and followed her future husband.

It was difficult at first getting used to Susie's two-door little economy car. Anna was used to her one hundred and twenty thousand-dollar Mercedes that practically drives for her. She knew Susie was going to be quite comfortable and may not want to take her car back after she spends some time in Anna's car. Anna wasn't worried though because she promised Susie a guest room for a week, with a plus one, at Diamond Island when they were fully set up.

Anna would be surprised if Jake noticed the light blue car at all. It was exciting to follow Jake without him realizing it, she just needed to keep a low profile while she developed a plan of action. Since they were going to switch cars back on Wednesday that only gave Anna two days to trap Jake. She just hoped it would be enough time to get him to agree to venture to the island with her. That way, she would still be home by Thursday as she promised her Dad.
