"Mmmmmm!" I exclaim, placing my fork back on the plate.
"Sameness." Michael says.
We laugh a little, turning to Ki, who'd fallen asleep.
"How was your food?" Our waitress, Kelly, asks, walking up to our table.
"Perfect!" Michael and I say simultaneously.
"Great!" She replies, taking our dirty plates.
"Would you like dessert?" Kelly asks kindly.
I look to Michael and he gives me the I'm-way-too-full face, so I nod in agreement.
"Nope, just the check." I reply.
"Alright! I'll be right back with that." She says, walking off.
"This night was so..."
"Perfect." I say, finishing Michael's sentence.
"Yea." He replies.
Kelly soon comes back with the check, so I pull out my money. Michael objects, but I insist. I make sure to add a generous tip for Kelly, seeing as she was so sweet.
Michael drives us home. Ki stays asleep in the backseat, leaving Michael and I to talk.
"You know, I really love you." I say randomly.
Michael looks over to me and smiles.
"Not as much as I love you, though." He answers.
"No, really. I just feel like I don't say it enough. You're my world. I want us to have a great future..." I say seriously.
"Baby, you are my future." Michael says simply.
"What did I do to deserve you?" I sigh out happily.
"Touché Jon, touché. I love you with all of my heart. It physically hurts me! I always have the urge to kiss you and hug you and love you. You're more than my husband, father of my child, and best friend...you're my home." He replies sweetly.
A sudden grin creeps onto his face.
"And...I'm homesick.~" Michael says seductively.
He pulls into our driveway and looks straight into my eyes.
"I can tell you want it too.~"
