My vision blurred from the pain in the middle of my back. I tried to turn to the side so I could get up but it was even too painful to muster enough strength.
"Celeste! Celeste, open your eyes for me!" I heard someone say as I felt their warm hands on my face. It was Daemon. Why were his hands so warm? He lifted me bridal style before facing the outside.

I heard loud screams and multiple bodies dropping like flies. The aura emitting from Daemon's body was powerful that my weak body could feel it.
"Daemon, stop! You've done enough!" I heard Angelo yell from behind us.
"They hurt her, so they'll pay with their lives for eternity in my realm." Daemon gritted his teeth as I continued to hear bodies being smashed and ripped by Daemon's powers.
My heavy lids tried to open slightly and Daemon sighed in relief.
"Daemon," I began as I cupped his cheek with a chilled hand. I struggled to speak but I knew he understood what I was trying to tell him. It was an unidentifiable connection between the two of us that no one will ever understand.
"We gotta get you inside." he said to me.
"Medio Terrae is here." I heard another voice to my left.
"They were here, but they retreated. We need to get Celeste inside. Now." the voice right next to me said matter of factly.
My legs felt like jello and I slipped on something wet underneath me.
"Shit, she's bleeding too much."
"Shut up, and let me do my job."
"If you were doing your job, this wouldn't have happened!"
