A/N: This is where the swearing starts, peeps.

IU's POV

"Move, you bitch." she said, shoving me into my locker as she passed with her gang of girls.

My face hit the edge of the locker, and my lip immediately started bleeding. I pressed my sleeve to my lip, and tried to prevent the pain from forming tears in my eyes.

I held my sleeve to my face and walked with my head down to the classroom, taking my seat and desperately trying to stop the blood from trickling down my face.

Jungkook sat down next to me and opening his books and taking out his notes. His pencil dropped from over the front of the desk and immediately, he nudged me.

"Yah, Jieun-ah. Get that for me."

Trying not to be noticed, I went around our desks and got the pencil. I had to take my hand off my face because the other was still clutching the notes.

"Here." I muttered, dropping the pencil on his desk.

He immediately caught my hand, and turned it over to the bloodstained side.

"That doesn't look like lipstick." He said looking up at me and his eyes widened as he took in my bloodied face.

"I...er...ran into my locker." I muttered, twisting my sleeve out of his grasp and taking my seat, facing away from him.

"You didn't." he insisted stubbornly.

The class then started, and he couldn't say anymore without getting yelled at by Ms. Ryong, but in the middle of the class, he did press a tissue into my hand.

I used it instead of my sleeve, and something inside me felt warm.

Jungkook's POV

What the heck happened to her face? I know she's super clumsy, but not to the point that she gets injured like that. Break came during class, but before I could interrogate to her, Krystal walked over to my desk.

"Do you wanna go somewhere with me after school?" she asked for the second time this week, posing by my desk and twirling her hair with one hand.

I didn't even bother to look at her. "Jieun-ah." I said gently, closing her book for her, and upon seeing that her lip hadn't stopped bleeding yet, I made up my mind. "We should stop the bleeding and clean that before it gets infected." I persuaded, trying to sound reasonable.

I lead her by the arm to the hallway, and when I nearly reached it, felt something warm wrap around my other arm.

"Jungkook, let's go somewhere today." Krystal whined, clinging to my other arm and twining herself around it.

I gave her my iciest smile, and said, "I'm sorry, but I'm busy right now. Maybe you should ask Taehyung." Then I tugged my hand out of her grasp with a pang of disgust, and pulled IU down the hallway to my locker where I kept a stash of first-aid supplies in a small plastic bag for emergencies.

"It might hurt a little." I said, gently wiping at the dried blood around the cut.

She glared at me like an unhappy three-year-old without responding for the entire length of time that I cleaned her lip.

Unwrapping a bandage, I tried to apply it to her face, but she leaned away like I was trying to harm her.

"Yah, you need to put this on." I muttered, focused on trying to stick it on right. When I finally succeeded, she turned with a little humph and walked stiffly back to the classroom.

"Jieun! You pabo! Don't I even get a 'thank you'?" I called after her, feeling a slight twinge of resentment at her attitude.

She seemed to stiffen as if I had said something offensive and rude while she disappeared into the classroom. Well, I didn't know that thanking people was rude, or else I would've done it all the time.

When I put everything back and walked into the classroom, I was greeted by the ever-so-persistent Krystal.

"Oppa, jebal, can you please go out with me today?" she said, trying to pull off aegyo.

I glanced over to where Jieun sat, determinedly ignoring me and scribbling away on her paper. Something started burning within the pit of my stomach, and an aggression that I couldn't understand filled me to the brim, urging me to do something, anything, to get back at her.

I looked over Krystal and scanned her, debating wether it was worth it or not.

"Sure. Let's go out today." I nodded, giving her a stiff smile but feeling revolted on the inside.

She squealed in delight, and embraced my arm once more. Class soon started again, and this time, IU wouldn't even acknowledge that I existed.

Fine. Completely fine with me.

School ended, and Krystal clung onto me all the way from the classroom to the building entrance.

"I invited Taehyung too." Krystal said shyly, tracing her finger in circles around on my upper arm.

"Sure. That's fine." I said, trying not to let my relief show.

We went to a restaurant and took a table for four. I was sipping the water and reading the menu when Taehyung turned around the corner with someone I didn't ever expect would have shown up.

I nearly spewed the water all over the table, but managed to swallow at the last second.

Krystal looked on with disgust. "You brought her?" Krystal whined, pouting at him.

IU glared at Krystal, then moved closer to Taehyung and stood up a bit straighter. Taehyung then put his arm around her, which shocked me even more, and made Krystal choke on her words.

"Well, I asked Jieun if she wanted to come, and she agreed." Taehyung said, shrugging as he took a seat beside Krystal who was sitting across from me.

This left the only seat next to me for IU. Reluctantly, she sat down and took a menu on the table, which she opened and immersed herself within while leaning back into the seat. She reached for the glass of water in the middle of the table.

"Oh. Here." Krystal said, pushing the water forward with an unnecessary amount of force. The full glass of water tipped over and spilled, splashing onto IU, who stood up abruptly, the front of her blouse dripping wet.

"Omo! I'm so sorry." Krystal said, flashing a concerned look at Jieun, barely able to hide her triumphant smile. "I don't know where you should change, and the seat is all wet. Maybe we could eat together another time?"

"Excuse me. I'll go to the bathroom." Jieun said quietly, placing the menu on the table and walking briskly away.

"Taehyung-ah!" Krystal said, pulling him back down by his arm as he was about to go after IU. "We should start ordering. What do you think is good?" she said, leaning in very close and pressing her cheek against his shoulder. Taehyung squirmed uncomfortably at the distance between them, and remained silent, looking after where IU had gone.

Something like fury crossed Krystal's face, but as soon as it arrived it was gone in a flash, leaving me wondering if it had ever been there.

We finished the dinner, though there was an uncomfortable air of tension between Krystal and Jieun.

Or maybe I was just imagining that.

IU's POV

When I got home Suzy handed me a slip of paper, and I wanted to curl up on my bed and not go on the field trip. I really don't need one right now.
