IU's POV

My head was on his shoulder and he had an arm draped around my waist as we walked back towards the central part of the building, taking a romantic stroll underneath flickering lights in yellowed-looking hallways.

With a lazy smile on my face, I looked up at him and admired the small smile he had on his face. Once me met my gaze, he laughed softly at my puppy-like behavior and promptly flicked my forehead with a sound that echoed in the empty hallway.

"Ow." I reacted, stopping and holding both my hands to my forehead. "Why'd you do that?" I pouted, nudging him.

He laughed for real and pulled me toward him, pressing a brief kiss on my forehead to compensate for the flick. I stood there smiling, until he moved back a little to survey my face that was sandwiched between his palms.

"Aigoo, so ugly." He said, smushing my face and wrinkling his nose.

"Y-Yah!" I said indignantly, ducking out of his grasp and stepping on his foot for good measure.

He cursed, then laughing, chased me around as I danced away giggling. I was so focused on getting away from him that I didn't realize we were already in the main room until I crashed haphazardly into Krystal.

"Omo, careful there." A relieved looking Taehyung said, catching me before I could fall.

"G-Gomawo." I giggled, flustered and still completely breathless from being chased around by Jungkook.

In a flash, that idiot's expression changed.

Aish, that jealous bastard. I thought while outwardly rolling my eyes at him.

"Oh, hey," Suzy said, peering out the windows. "The rain stopped, I think. Guess it was just a freak storm." She shrugged, shifting her bag over her shoulder.

As if on cue, Ms. Ryong stood on top of a table and suddenly shouted over the chatter of the students, "Everyone! Since it's too late to continue with our lesson, you are all to go back to your cabins!" She blew a strand of wet hair out of her face, and continued, "Be sure to prepare well for tomorrow, as we will be having a small competition."

The moment she stepped off the table, the chatter immediately continued, this time with more furor about what the competition would be the next day. The only thing I wanted to talk about was what was for dinner and when we would go to sleep, even though it was only just past noon.

"Kaja." Jungkook said, draping an arm around my shoulder and leading me outside, leaving a Krystal and Taehyung goggling at us in incredulity, and Suzy smiling knowingly.

Taehyung and Jungkook accompanied Krystal, her friend, Suzy and I to our cabin, even though that meant they had to double back to get to theirs. We came to a halt as the cabin came into view.

"That's not good..." I said, admiring the way the roof had caved in.

"My things!!" Krystal shrieked, reining terror on my eardrums as she rushed towards the door and yanked it open to retrieve her belongings.

I chuckled a bit, and Suzy did the same once she met my gaze. It was my idea, after all, to put everything into plastic bags, and actually use waterproof bags instead of the regular ones. Besides, we didn't bring anything that could be easily destroyed.

I surveyed the wreckage, and my eyes widened in horror as I realized how unstable it was.

I hurried in after Krystal, much to Suzy's surprise, and found her rushing around inside, which was probably not a recommended thing to do in a dying cabin.

A violent gust of wind blew swiftly, and the entire cabin creaked. The already collapsed section of the roof shifted, and debris in the form of wet splinters rained down on Krystal and I.

Hurrah for cheap cabins built with cheap, worm-eaten wood and laid on cheap foundations-if there even was one.

Like the smart person I was, I froze in place and watched as the remaining part of the roof cracked with a groaning sound, causing the entire cabin to shift. I heard a shout of alarm from outside.

"Krystal! Get out!" I shouted, grabbing her arm and trying to tug her towards the door. She swung her hand back and slapped me across the face, causing me to stagger backwards and fall painfully. Despite that, I was still determined to get both of us out.

"We have to go! It's not safe here!" I cried desperately, trying to get back up despite my ankle throbbing in protest at every tiny move.

She ignored me, seeming oblivious to the fact that we were about to be pancaked by a five hundred pound roof. How someone can not notice a roof about to cave on their head, I really have no idea.

The last few flakes of wood attaching the roof to the rest of the structure gave away as I lounged toward Krystal and pushed her out of the cabin, myself following not-so-closely. I crashed against the door frame from the momentum of pushing Krystal out, and couldn't get up no matter how hard I tried.

An iron grip locked around my rib cage and heaved me out just as the roof smashed down with a terrifying crunching sound.

Looking up at my savior, and finding my face inches from Taehyung's, I breathed a shaky sigh of relief. He immediately let go of me and tried to help me stand, but my legs were numb and about as stable as jello. Jungkook and Krystal's room mate had identical expressions of shock stamped on their faces

"Gwenchanayo?!" Suzy cried, fluttering around me to look for any signs of injuries.

"Gwenchana!" I replied brightly, giving her a cheery smile as my brain started shutting down. "I only just nearly got crushed by a falling roof, it's nothing!" I continued deliriously.

"Omo, you're bleeding!" Suzy gasped, her fingers brushing strands of hair out of my face as she examined the scratches left by Krystal.

"Oh yeah! That too!" I bubbled with a crazy grin on my face. "Guess that makes the near-death experience even better!"

Then I fainted.
