Jungkook's POV

I stared down at my two hands, which were balled into shaking fists on my lap. Why was I so useless? Always unable to take action whenever Jieun was in danger, and even causing the harm at times. I bent over and placed my forehead onto my fists, letting out a shaky breath.

My body had completely seized up both times, the first during her asthma attack, and second when the roof nearly crushed her. This icy sort of panic, fear and dread had coursed through me, denying me the ability to go and help.

I swiped furiously at the tears pooling in my eyes, refusing to accept the fact that Jieun could get hurt one day if we continued to be together.

IU's POV

Everything hurt. Especially my head. And my ankle.

I opened my eyes to a blurry world which slowly came into focus as I sat up. Groaning at the soreness of my ribcage, I sluggishly tucked a strand of hair out of my face and felt my hand brush against the thick bandage on my cheek.

Did I get chewed out by a pack of wolves after I nearly got crushed or something? Everything shouldn't hurt this much, even if I was thrown into a meat sack and became dinner for some wild animal.

Suzy, who I hadn't noticed was in the room at that time, came toward me with a cup of steaming water.

"Here, drink this." she said, sitting down on the bed and lifting the cup to my lips.

I obediently took a sip, and the cold that I hadn't noticed before suddenly became evident. Taking the cup from her and pressing my frozen fingers against the burning warmth, I stared at her expectantly, waiting for her to explain.

She sighed and re-tucked the lock of hair that had escaped from behind my ear, and was about to start when Jungkook entered the room.

"You're up." he said, smiling as he walked toward the bed.

I immediately noticed that there was something odd about him. It was like there was an air of something dark hidden behind his cheeriness.

"Yeah." I croaked, my voice entirely not cooperating, making me sound like I had gone through puberty the hard way.

"Anyways," Suzy said, frowning at Jungkook. "Apparently more than a third of the cabins had sustained sufficient damage to the point that they can't be inhabited, and our cabin counted towards the one-third." she stated, focusing her attention back on me. "The instructors say that there has never been a storm that bad here since the cabins were built." she said, rolling her eyes.

"Oh." I rasped, feeling dread starting to set in. "Then what do we do now?"

She paused, as if reluctant to keep speaking. "Well, we kinda have to move into other cabins..."

"That's fine." I said, relieved.

"And you and Suzy will be staying with Taehyung and I."Jungkook, who had been silent until now, said.

I the water that I had been trying to swallow went down the wrong way, causing me to choke a little.

"Aren't there other girl cabins that we can move into?" I sputtered, aware that a light blush had settled on my cheeks.

"I already asked." Suzy muttered defeatedly. "All the other girl cabins have more than six people, and we can't sleep anywhere else."

At the look of desperation on my face, she continued hurriedly, "It's only for one night. We head home tomorrow night."

I met Jungkook's even gaze, and felt my blushing heat up another notch. "Alright." I mumbled, looking down and fidgeting with the blanket.

Getting out of the bed, I raised my eyebrows at the heavy ankle cast on my left foot. "Did I break something?" I asked, shooting a questioning glance at Suzy.
