Chiara

"What do you mean?" tanong nito.

I smiled bitterly, I don't talk to anyone about this matter but.. it's Tita Lea.

"My Dad, I don't think he loves my Mom." paninimula ko. "I think.. I think he was forced and left with no choice but to marry her because of me."

Tita Lea remained quiet so I continued talking, "They don't have the best relationship. I really don't know what happened basta, all I can remember is that they had a huge fight and after that, well, Mommy
left. Maybe she can't take it anymore. Maybe she had enough of Dad's cold treatment towards her."

The truth is that, I asked her to take me. I begged her to take me but, she didn't.

Sometimes, I blame my Mom for everything.

Only if she was there to guide me then, I won't have to spend every morning covering my stitches with concealer or heavy foundation.

Pero wala, wala siya. Hanggang ngayon, wala kaming communication.

"Chiara.." she called my name. "I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry for myself too, Tita."

"Pareho pala tayo Chia. Alam mo, nawalan din ako.." Tita Lea told me that caught my attention.

Nawalan siya? Sino?

"Po?"

Tumalikod siya mula sa akin as she turned off the stove, hindi ko mab lang namalayan at kanina pa pala ako nakaupo rito. Ngayon, luto na ang pasta niya.

"We're in the same situation, kaso ang pinagkaiba lang, sa'yo— there's a possibility na babalik pa, sa'kin, wala na." she said as she opened the cupboard, taking out the utensils.

"Sino po ang nawala sa inyo?" I asked her, Tita Lea is really mysterious.

Who knows she's hiding a lot more behind her smiles and laughter?

That boost my curiosity up to the highest level, mas lalo lang ako nagtaka.

"Someone really close to me." sagot niya and by that I concluded, maybe it's one of her friends?

She occupied the seat opposite to mine as well.

"Wow, Tita! This smells so good!" I said, inhaling the scent of her dish.

She arched an eyebrow as she handed me a fork, kaagad ko naman iyong tinanggap. "Smell lang?"

I giggled, "Sige nga po, let me try nang masabi ko!" I exclaimed as I twisted my fork, urgh!

I ate like a caveman when I'm hungry, weird but true. I tasted the pasta she cooked and bloody hell, ang sarap nga!

"Tita, it tastes so good! Ang galing niyo pong magluto!" I complemented her. "Isang malaking sana all!"

Who would have thought na magaling pala magluto ang Broadway Diva ng Pinas. Multi-talented talaga si Tita, I wish I can be like her.

Sabel must be really lucky to have her..

I don't know why but that thought just crossed my mind randomly, I shrugged my thoughts at pinagpatuloy na lang ang pagkain sa pasta ni Tita Lea.

We talked about random things while eating, imagine, marami kaming similarities ni Tita. Tadhana nga naman o!

We're in the middle of our conversation nang biglang nilabas ni Tita ang phone niya, she raised it up as she clicked the camera app.

"Smile, darling!" wika niya, ngumiti naman ako at nagpeace-sign.

Ew. Ba't ako nagpeace-sign? So not me. There's like magic sa pasta ni Tita at nagawa kong mag peace-sign absentmindedly. Gumamit ata siya ng Maggi ano? Oh well..
