Chapter 21: The New Visitor

"You're unbelievable.." 'di makapaniwalang sambit ni Aga, followed by his silent curses.

I immediately took his hand as I interwind our fingers together, "Tell me, do you trust me?" tanong ko as I heaved a deep sigh, say yes please.

He glanced at me with disbelief and questioning eyes, "What are you saying?"

"Just answer it with no hesitations! Do you trust me?" tanong ko ulit, we look at each other as he closed his eyes and I looked away.

He's having doubts. Am I that untrustworthy? Sabihin niya lang na pinagkakatiwalaan niya ako, I'll give him a darn explanation.

Binuksan niya ang mga mata niya and slowly, he nodded. Nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag dahil doon. He trust and love me, what can I ask for?

"Thank you.." mahinang bulong ko as I tried to take my hands away, but he tightened his grip.

"Mind to explain?" wika niya, he looks more calm now compared to earlier.

I smiled a little, "Bukod kay Sabel, wala akong ibang anak. You're silly and ignorant enough to say that I have one after our daughter." sabi ko as his eyes widened upon hearing it.

"What the fuck? Wala? Then why did you said yes?" he asked, I shrugged my shoulders. Bakit nga ba?

"To test how much you trust me? I actually don't know, 'yon kasi ang unang pumasok sa isip ko so maybe that's why.." I explained as I used my left palm to wipe Aga's sweats.

"Pinakaba mo ako doon, alam mo ba?" he asked me and thank God, he's now smiling.

"I know, halata naman eh!" natatawa kong sagot pero agad ding sumeryoso ang mukha ko nang may maalala ako, "And by the way, how did you came up with that Australia topic?" I asked, arching an eyebrow.

Gaya nang sinabi niya, I temporarily left showbiz three years ago not because I was pregnant but because I want to experience a normal life, kahit ilang taon lang. I need a break from work and also, memories of the past kept on haunting me.

"Clara told me so.." he answered, I was about to speak but then, he cut me off, "Sorry for believing her. Nadala lang ako. I'm really sorry babes." paumanhin niya.

"Okay lang, I understand." nakangiting saad ko but then, Clara's sudden appearance kept on bothering me.

Dahan-dahan akong bumaba ng hospital bed ko as I smiled in victory after doing so, my body's not numb so basically, I can move freely but my head hurts like hell, so does my stomach na kanina pa gumagawa ng strange noises. I'm obviously hungry.

I was about to put on my slippers not until the door slipped opened kaya napaangat ako ng tingin, revealing a woman whom I've been wishing to be here for the past years of my life.

"Mo.. mommy?" I asked in affirmation, my hands are trembling so as my eyes started to water and the woman hurriedly went to my direction and gave me a tight hug.

"Chiara! You're awake, baby! I miss you so, so, so much!" wika nito while I'm crying on her shoulders— hugging her really tight, God, how I missed my Mom!

"Miss na miss ko na rin po kayo Mommy!" I said while sobbing, after years of longing her presence, she's finally now in front of me.

"So do I Chia, so do I.." wika nito while rubbing my back. We stayed in that position for minutes not until we finally broke it, tumahan na rin ako mula sa pag-iyak.

Inalayan ako ni Mommy na maupo sa kama ko as she stood infront of me, holding my hand.

"I saw Lea." aniya, "And that bitch, nagawa pang makipaglandian sa Daddy mo sa harap ko? Walang delikadesa." dagdag pa niya.

Tumango naman ako to show my approval sa mga sinasabi niya, "She's a home wrecker, a living snake they say." sambit ko na ikinangiti ni Mommy.

Like mother, like daughter. We both loathe one person in this world and that's Lea, my Mom is the legal wife so technically, she the mistress, kabit, kerida, number two, or whatever you may call it.

"Now I'm here and I'm staying for good, all we have to do is to make that woman vanish from your Dad's life, forever.." wika niya while caressing my hair. Yeah, we'll make her vanish, erase her from my Dad's definition of reality.

"I tried to, Ma. I attempted to poisoned her but then, I failed at ang masaklap pa, ako pa ito ang siyang nalason." pag-aamin ko, Mom looked surprise pero agad ding nakabawi.

"It's okay Chia, what's important is that you're okay and I'm here." saad niya.

I was about to say a word not until I remembered something.. my whole life is still a huge question mark for me. I don't even know kung anak nga ba ako ni Mommy, remember the time that I caught her talking to my Aunt? Yeah, that matter, gabi-gabi ko pa rin 'yang iniisip and I think, it's better if I ask her to clear things out..

Before I can do that, the door opened once again kaya sabay naman kaming napatingin dito ni Mommy, revealing a woman and I was shocked upon realizing who it was.

"Tita Analaine.." I whispered. I have a new visitor and it's Tita Analaine, Mom's sister.

Aside from Mommy, pwede ko rin siyang matanong and I hope, maliwanagan na ako this time around.
