A blonde haired boy stood by one of the large speakers by the stage, pacing around in a small area. He manipulated the microphone in his hand, spinning it around his fingers as he tapped his foot in nervous impatience.

"Testing!" a loud voice said from across the outdoor plaza, but the volume booming out of the giant speaker. The boy jumped a little, sighing and turning around, only to be faced by another blonde haired man, his hair brushed with a hint of blue dye that was fading away from his fringe.

The man laughed a little, accepting the microphone that the boy was suddenly offering.

"Why are you nervous?" the man asked, smiling a soft smile.

"Because I'm performing," he laughed, the nervousness evident through his light breaths. The other shook his head, wrapping his arms around the younger.

"You'll do great." the man said before pulling away, patting the other on the back. "You're the Im Taeyang. Everyone knows your songs are excellent."

"But you're the Seo Woojin, I can't be better than you." the younger smiled, swaying back and forth a bit in attempt to rid himself of anxiety.

The older smiled a little bit, almost pitifully. "You're gonna do great. If you want I can ask to change the order of the performances."

Taeyang shook his head. "It's okay... they've already printed out programs and stuff."

Woojin pat the younger on the back another time before both of their attentions were caught by the speaker booming again.

"F.O.X, please report up here, thanks."

Woojin flashed a small smile, pointing up towards where the an uplifted platform sat, people around it in preparation for the performance. "I'll see you later." he said as he headed towards the direction of the caller.

Taeyang took in a few breaths, turning around towards the speaker and feeling the same wave of nervousness return. He let out a sigh of defeat as he began pacing again.

Across the courtyard-like area on the raised platform, another boy was sitting on the stage, his legs hanging off of the edge. Woojin tapped on the black-haired boy's shoulder, then pointing down towards the large speakers and whispering something into the other's ear. The boy made a laugh, biting out his tongue and smiling in playful proudness as he jumped down a few feet from where he sat. Woojin called something as the black-haired boy ran away towards Taeyang and the speakers, the boy turning around and flashing the older a thumbs up before spinning back around and continuing his pursuit across the paved clearing.

"Taeyang!" he shouted cheerfully after he had come close enough for the other to hear his yell. He slowed down and came to a stop in front of the blonde, taking in deep tired breaths from the sudden running.

"Kaito, what are you doing?" he asked with a slightly smug smile, judging the other's energetic and expressive personality.

The black-haired boy puckered his lips, pouting a bit. "Well..." he began, pausing for a second before coming back with energy, "Woojin hyung said you're all worried."

Taeyang let out a sigh, looking up at the raised platform where Woojin was talking to a staff member, the microphone he had given him still gripped in his hand. He looked back towards Kaito. "I'm fine."

Kaito looked up in thought, then tilting his head back to look at his peer. "I'd be scared to go right after Hyung too."

Taeyang would've shrugged in response but he turned away, looking directly up at the glaring sun of the afternoon. He squinted his eyes a little due to the intense light.

Without any words Kaito raised his hand and held it a few inches above the other's eyes, shading the other's straining vision. After about half a minute, Taeyang looked back down and at Kaito.

He made a little smile, pointing up at the bright light in the sky. "Even if your name is Im Taeyang I don't think you should stare at the sun too long."

Taeyang let out a little laugh, shaking his likely sweaty hands and wiping them along the sides of his jeans. "Are you ready for your performance?"

Kaito let out a sudden laugh, wiping a fake tear from the corner of his eye. He pointed towards the blonde with a big grin. "Nope." he laughed, taking a few paced steps around where he was standing. "I'm gonna go practice once all this stage stuff is done. Care to join me?"

"You don't wanna get tried out before performing," Taeyang pointed out, only to be replied by a laugh and a tight grip on his left wrist.

"So?" he asked, already pulling the blonde along. Taeyang laughed, letting himself be pulled by his energetic friend. "We've got the energy, right?"
