F.O.X Reveals He Helped Train C.S. Trainee Hisakawa Kaito And Is Close Friends With Trainee Im Taeyang
Feb. 27th 2017

In an interview conducted by reporter Park Siyeon of Seoul Pop!™, F.O.X revealed that he is close with many people within his company, including many trainees such as Hisakawa Kaito, whom he helped prepare his song for the trainee fair.

"I mean, like Chen said after his performance, C.S. is truly just a big family joined by music." F.O.X replied. With a laugh he added, "It's almost like parenting, which is why I always call them my sons." (F.O.X fans blew up SNS with proud happiness after the interview was officially published, of course.)

F.O.X went to go on about his preparations for the trainee fair, striving to show "the best range of diversity for all parts of C.S." He revealed that he helped create and set up the event, as well as preparing trainee Hisakawa Kaito for his performance.

"I was really honored when he told me he wanted to cover 'I Really Really', plus the fact he came to me for advice - you've seen him, right? You can't say no to that smile." F.O.X grinned, "It's also his type of song. He did great, right? He's super talented."

In general, F.O.X was more proud of Kaito's performance than his own teachings, which he also posted on Instagram right after the boy's performance. (See the photo here.)

Upon being asked about who in the company he was the closest to, F.O.X couldn't give a definite answer, mentioning his co-producer, the director of his recent music videos, the company CEO, and even his hair stylist who he stated "never fails to make 'this' look good" as he gestured towards his hair, which even hours after his performance still held its style.

Park Siyeon then rephrased the question, then asking which trainee F.O.X was closest with. His answer came much faster: "Taeyang of course - we help each other out everyday, with songwriting, composing, performance things - he's probably the only trainee I don't treat like a son."

F.O.X laughed slightly at his own remarks, adding, "I think it's better to be treated as a son, at least in my opinion. There's less peer-on-peer arguing."

Park Siyeon quickly followed up with another question: "Then what is Taeyang to you?"

F.O.X replied simply, "A brother." This interested many fans in the country.

Fans after the interview were extremely interested in the two musician's relationship, as well as how their brother-like friendship would have influenced Im Taeyang's song dedication. In the interview the subject was not brought up, but there's been a lot of assumptions flying around due to a long hug shared by the two after Taeyang's performance just before he got off stage. (For more information about the hug, check out Vincent Eugene's article posted earlier today.)
