Xavier Prov.

I walked in the office to see that Taidan isn't in the office either.

I feel something in the pit of my stomach, what if something happened to her?

I walked over to my desk and laid my stuff down, I pulled my phone out and tried calling her again....

It went straight to voicemail.

I don't understand...

Is she ignoring me?

Did I do something to make her upset?

I try to think of all that could possibly be the reason she wouldn't be taking my calls.

I scrolled through my massages to see that she read one of my messages..

I re-read my last message she read to see if it was something I said.

I rubbed my temple as a migraine began to rock my head..

"Oh wait" I ran over to the files to take her documents out.

Ill call her mom , she cant get upset at me; this is work related .

Right?

I pulled her file out and punch the numbers into the phone..

My heart beats faster as the first ring goes off..

Then a sec-

"Hello?" the person on the next end answers.

"Hello good morning this is Xavier from Harris r us" I let out in one breath.

I took a breath and was about to continue when she spoke again.

"Yes mam... Taidan is on her way there now mam.. "

Mam? Who still says that?

"She just running a little late, sorry" she continues.

"Ok!.. ok well thank you for your time" I tell her.

"Thank you too mam.."

With that I disconnected the call.

I felt a little better knowing she is fine but now grew angry at her.

I didn't want to seem too angry when she comes in,I sat in my chair trying to find something to do while I wait on her...

I shift a few papers around trying to find something to really do.

Ugh!... why is it when you want something to actually do you can't find shit!.

I heard the door to granddad's office door open , I turn in my chair to see Taidan entering the room.

I turned back to my computer and looked at the time on my computer ;11:15 am.

I turned around in my chair facing the entrance.

The door swang open and in walks a poorly dressed, red puffy eyes, Taidan.

She looked horrible.

Suddenly my anger turned to concerns.

Talk about going from 0-100 real quick😒.

She came in and went right to her chair, she didn't even look at me.

Are you kidding me?

"Tadain!" I called out to her.

Regardless she's having a bad day its only fair she gives me an excuse for her tardiness so I can report and her reason for not calling ...
