Chapter 15- Living in a Lie

Soma's perspective:

I was treated like a monster even now. I am also known as a "Death God". I also know that they wished i should've died. My damned S.O.B. father treats me and manipulates me like I'm his goddamn toy. He used me as a test subject and a basis for the God Eaters saying it was for humankind. Yet it was for nothing, we still live in a dream, never waking up.And my mother, died because of me. I was born, as a test subject. Nothing more. I am not worthy at all, they just used me to save their own hides. I am living in a hell. Getting used. Is there someone who have a worser life than me? How can we still breathing enduring the pain, not dying and getting tortured physically and mentally?

Why don't just end my life?

Why am i here at all? At any rate...

"Hmpff, you clingy brat."

I'm in a mission with Kota. We are at the Old City and We'll be killing a Fallen Chi-yo and a Quadriga. Dr. Sakaki was the one who asked it. Is he just using me like they do? He's one of those jerks.

"You know we were both send on this mission, of course i'll cling to you!" Kota replied. "What're you, scared?" "No of course. But if--" "What?" i asked.  "Heh... nothing Soma. Come on let's go."

We ran to a Quadriga. I immediately ran towards it and sliced it. I took a step forward. The Quadriga fires Large Missiles from it's chest. I used my shield and took it. Kota fires it with chill and spark bullets. This shitty thing still not shitting on his pants. Then i'll make him do it.

"Kota, fire it non-stop and i'll slash it to hell." "Roger!" He did as i told him. And i did as what i said. I'm in offensive and lowers my defense. Luckily this thing is about to take a dump. Once it does i'll kill it's companion. Lucky it's not here. "It will die soon!" "Wait , Soma I'm reloading!"

The Quadriga fumbles down. "Alrighty!" Kota said in joy. I then took the final blow and send it through hell. It's now dead. I devour it's core and my Jinki or God Arc seemed to love it.

"Heh. Hey you Kota, let's split up and search for that fallen Chi-yo."
"Yeah, sure."

We split up. The Fallen Chi-yo was not here. Not here either. Not in this place as well. Where is it? Damn it...

Then i heard a roar. I heard Kota shouted. "Aaahh!". He seems in trouble. Tch...

I ran as fast as i could.

I saw Kota, he was badly wounded. It wasn't a Fallen Chi-yo. It was a Vajra. "Kota! This isn't informed to us... We'll retreat!" Yeah, i can't let him die. I don't want that scene anymore. I used a stun grenade. I lift Kota and ran as fast as i could and we vanished from the Vajra's sight. "You're trouble. I should've do this alone. I can handle this alone anyway." "Oh come on. Heh, i just ran out of ammo! *smiles then laughs*  Soma, thanks! I'm glad you came." A person, thanked me. Weren't they supposed to be..angry at me? That Kota.. he was the only person who was glad i came... and i felt kinda happy. *chuckles* "You're fine. Walk on your own." "Oh yeah, hahha. I look pretty embarrassing getting lifted off. *Soma throws Kota down* Ouch! Damn... it.*looks ridiculously happy* :~ We're close now, come on!"

And we reported it to Dr. Sakaki.

Dr. Sakaki: I see. Sorry without getting a complete information.
Soma: Next time do your job better.
Dr. Sakaki: My bad. Oh! Did you encounter a rather... weird Aragami that doesn't attack humans?
Kota: Huh?
Dr. Sakaki: Oh nothing. Well thank you for today. You can get rest now.

We go to our own rooms. Just what the heck does that Old fart mean?
