I sat on the couch playing Halo. It was getting late but it was a Saturday night so it didn't matter.

My stomach rumbled. I hadn't eaten dinner. Pausing the game, I went to the kitchen and began to make myself a ham and cheese sandwich.

And then I made another.

And another.

1 sandwich, 2 sandwich, 3 sandwich, 4.

And then we ran out of bread.

I bounded over to my uncle's room where he was asleep.

"JERRY, JERRY, JERRY!" I yelled as I hit my uncle over the head with his pillow, "Geeeeet uuuuup!"

My uncle Jerry squirmed before falling off the bed. He was entangled in a mess of blankets. Then he shot his head up.

"WHY ON EARTH DID YOU...Wait a minute is there a fire?!" Jerry questioned still making not attempt to unravel his cocoon of blankets.

I didn't get time to answer him before he knocked me to the floor in his attempt to roll away to freedom.

I got up and began rolling him out the room and to the car.

My uncle gave me a quizzical expression. By now he had at least gotten his arms free and his legs weren't so tightly bound together. He struggled to get to his feet and tried to run back inside but I quickly shoved him into the car.

Getting into the car myself I demanded he drive me to the 24/7 convenience store. He gave me yet another quizzical expression. I only pouted, giving him my best puppy dog eyes. He rolled his eyes at me and put the car in gear.

"I don't even want to know why I'm doing this," My uncle Jerry sighed as we arrived at the convenience store.

I looked up at the sign.

"A convenience store. How convenient," I murmured half asleep. I was feeling pretty tired.

It didn't take me long to get what I wanted; bread and some more cheese just in case.

So, why had I decided to make a heap of ham and cheese sandwiches, especially at two o'clock in the morning?

I had my doubts if I'd be able to successfully get Bailey to sing to make her smile back so I was going to do the one thing I knew would make her smile; ham and cheese sandwiches. Sadly, it just so happened that I only remembered this in the middle of the night and I was always one to act upon things like this straight away.
